EASTER CENTERPIECE INSPIRATION

Hello and welcome back to Decorate and More with Tip where I love sharing my tips on how to decorate your home on a budget.  Today I’m joining a fabulous group of bloggers for a blog hop “Easter’s on it’s way” hosted by Amber of Follow The Yellow Brick Home.  Are you ready for some Easter/Spring inspiration?   This hop will bring you tons of cute Easter/Spring ideas.  If you are coming over from Jann at Have a Daily Cup of Mrs. Olson, welcome!  Look at the bottom of my post for the links.

My dining room table is decorated with a few things placed in the center.  I didn’t go for a full set table this Easter.  I shared my kitchen’s Easter tablescape with you in an earlier blog.  If  you want to view my tablescape head over to our kitchen by clicking CARROTS, BLOSSOMS & A BUNNY.   Easter is only 9 days away, can you believe it?  I think I decorated for Easter in all the main parts of our home.  My Easter touches reach most of the main areas in our home this year.

I started off the centerpiece with a folded up tablecloth Viola!  A table runner.  I placed my decorated bird cage in the center of the table.  You can find the steps I took to create my birdhouse here, BIRD HOUSE.

Placing the birdcage on my table was a great way to burst into the Spring season. What a perfect way to start the centerpiece.

I added some flowers in two of my vases and placed on each side of the bird cage along with two candle sticks, bunnies and my DIY newspaper Easter eggs.

Bringing in a little outside feel to the table.  I filled each vase with a combination of flowers and greenery.

I placed a Dollar Tree glass vase on top of my candle stick  to creates a unique look.

To complete the table with a touch of Easter I added my newspaper and gold foiled eggs into an egg shape dish lined with Spanish and reindeer moss.

I am so happy with the look of my table this Easter season.  What I would love to see is my family all around this table celebrating Easter with me……but that’s not possible.  We will be gathered around the table soon.

I hope you enjoy viewing my Easter centerpiece on our dining room table.

  1. Terrie,
You did a fantastic job decorating your bird cage for a spring centerpiece. You could leave it on the table all through summer.

I hope you had a wonderful Easter.

Stay safe, and enjoy the rest of spring,

    Judith

  2. Terrie, I absolutely love your birdcage. It’s springy and fun and whimsical. I have 4 napkins in the same pattern as your tablecloth/runner. Great pastel colors. Very pretty table. Hope you had a nice Easter.

  3. Terrie, I love your birdcage! It’s a perfect addition for an Easter table. The runner is so cheery and it all brought a big smile to my face! Happy Easter.
    hugs,
    Jann

    1. Thank you so much Jann. I am in love with the cage too. My friend was so sweet in giving that to me. So happy I put a smile in your face. Happy Easter to you and your family as well!

  4. Terrie your dining room looks so pretty for spring! I love the beautiful birdcage centerpiece and how you filled it with sweet spring elements.

I found a bird cage at a yard sale in the fall and I have been waiting for some free time to give it paint makeover so I can bring it inside. Well, now I have some free time being stuck at home!

Thank you so much for joining the hop. Happy Easter!

    1. Thanks Amber for hosting this fun hop. I hope you get to work on your bird cage, but it looks like you have bigger things to work on. I can’t wait to see your cabinets when you get through.

    1. Thanks Kristin. I know what you are saying….normally that happens to me all the time. See something don’t pick it up and then kick myself for not. Happy Spring!

  5. Terrie, I love your birdcage you used as your centerpiece! Makes me wish I hadn’t gotten rid of ours when we downsized and moved. Wishing you a blessed Easter.

  6. Your Easter table looks beautiful! Love the decorated bird house that you used for your centerpiece. Adding Dollar Store glass vases to candle holders is a great idea that I need to remember. I hope you get to see your precious new granddaughter very soon.

  7. That bird cage is lovely, Terrie! And you’ve arranged everything so nicely for your holiday! Congrats on the new grandchild! Bet you can’t wait to give her a squeeze!

    1. Thank you Julie. I am so happy with my table. I am so in love with her Julie, couldn’t believe how one little person could steal your heart away.

  8. Terrie, how very clever to “convert” your cloth into a runner! I’m tucking that in my brain for future tablescaping ideas and tips. I especially like the idea, because I routinely create seasonal and holiday centerpieces in the dining room. This would allow me to protect the mahogany surface without covering it all with a cloth. I also use birdcages in centerpieces and yours is particularly pretty.

    1. Awe, thank you so much Debbee. I didn’t want to cover my table since we won’t be using it this Easter. Not being able to go out and purchase a runner I thought I would try folding the cloth. So happy it works. Happy Spring Debbee.

    1. Thank you Marty. I love the look of the cage on my table. Don’t know where I will be placing it after the holiday, but I sure do want to have it out on display.

    1. Thank you so much Kelly. I just love all the spring colors this time of the year. The birdcage was a gift from a friend. I love it. Thank you hope you and your family have a blessed Easter as well.

    1. Thank you Michelle. I love the birdcage too. The nest was a fun DIY I shared earlier in the week. Have a blessed Easter too my firend.

  9. Your centerpiece is so cheerful Terrie. I fully expected you to day you made the bird cage out of wood you made by milling an old limb you had lying around in the backyard or something. Partially kidding. Partially not. 😉 Your table looks lovely and I know you like seeing it each time you walk by. Hope you have a happy Easter!

    1. Cindy, If there was a way I could create a bird cage, girl I would try. ha! This birdcage was a gift from a friend. Thank you Cindy. I hope you and your family have a blessed Easter season!

  10. Terrie, Your birdcage is stunning! You decorated it so beautifully for Easter, the florals, the eggs and that gorgeous ribbon! Yes, a tablecloth can make a runner quick as can be, can’t it? I hope you find joy in this Easter season and stay safe and well!

    1. Thank you Chloe. When decorating with what you have we have to get creative. The birdcage was so fun to decorate. I am going to enjoy having it for future decorations. I am wishing a blessed Easter season for you and your family too my friend.

    1. Thank you Katie. My friend picked that up to me, I just love it. I am going to have fun with the cage. Happy Easter to you and your family.

  11. This is such a fun and festive way to celebrate Easter and spring Terrie! I love all the florals you put together and those pretty eggs too. I hope you and your family have a blessed and happy Easter season. Hugs, CoCo

    1. Thank you CoCo. I did bring in the blooms this Easter season in our home. Love how the colors and florals make our home feel. It brightens up the gloom larking around out in the world right now.

    1. Thank you Linda. I am enjoying my birdcage. I wanted a little more to the candleholders so adding the glass vase give it what I wanted. It is always fun hopping with you too Linda!

    1. I think so too Cecilia. My friend gave the cage to me. I just love it. You and your family have a blessed Easter season too my friend.

  12. Terrie, I can certainly see why you’re happy with your table this year – it’s beautiful! I love the spray of flowers you’ve created on top of the birdhouse, as well as the nest inside. Great craft in the eggs as well. The greenery in the vases are nice neutrals flanking the candlesticks (love the DT vases). Folding the tablecloth into a runner is great idea, and gives versatility to our stash of textiles. Happy Easter to you, I enjoyed your Easter inspiration.

    1. Thank you so much. I appreciate your sweet words. I love the blooms I placed in our home this year. The eggs were a fun project last year, still look great this year. When shopping your home you have to be creative. I love how the table cloth looks as a runner and after this season I can always still use it as a table cloth. Happy Easter to you and your family Rita!

    1. Thank you sweet friend. I love the look of the table cloth as the runner. Two for one, right? Have a blessed Easter to you and your family Christine.
