A LITTLE EASTER FUN

Hello and welcome to another fun Thrift Store Challenge!  This month I went looking for some Easter fun, didn’t know what I would find, but I was on a mission.  I have so much fun with this challenge for a couple of reasons I always love to check out the thrift stores and I get to use my DIY skills.
I am joining in with 3 more super creative bloggers for this challenge.  I will have their links at the end of my blog.  You won’t want to miss what they found.
Not a lot of Easter items at the thrift stores, but I did find two small items for $1 each.  I know….I know, big spender.  Let me show you what I found.
I think the plant inside of the planter is red cabbage.  🙂

I had to pick him up…. For the price, I think this could be a pretty little Easter decor.
I am taking the plant out and give the bunny some color.

I am not too sure what color this rabbit is.

Painting the entire rabbit a base coat of tan.

I kept apply more colors of paint to the rabbit until I had him the way I wanted him.  I applied Antique wax all over the rabbit and wiped it off with a clean cloth.

A quick look at what he looked like before and then after I painted him.

I added some flowers to the planter and that was it.

I added him to my coffee table Easter decor.

My next find, an Easter egg planter.

I am going to dress the egg up with pink and some sparkle.

Applying the studs with E6000 to the egg.

I am going to add some faux baby’s breath to the inside of the planter.

  1. Great job, Terrie! I especially love how you transformed the bunny planter. He looks alive when you finished, especially the eye. The egg planter also reflects your touch when it was all styled and looks perfectly at home where you placed it. What great bargains you found! So sorry to have missed this challenge!

    1. Thanks Tara! Hopefully next challenge will be just as fun. I do love a great thrift store find. I was on a mission to find Easter items. Not many were there but did luck up with these two.
