I am one that doesn’t decorate our kitchen table with a full tablescape, but I do like to decorate my table. Today, the girls will be sharing a summer tablescape, I will have their links down at the bottom of my page.
Casual Place setting
I will be decorating my table with layers of dishes just for looks not for functionality. I created the centerpiece a couple weeks ago. To see the video of my centerpiece you can watch by clicking here Centerpiece.
Keeping the white White Distressed Wicker Place Mats on the table, I will build my place setting on them. Starting with fluted chargers I found in Dollar Tree. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to have a beautiful table, shopping for nice quality items the budget friendly way. Dollar Tree has some nice chargers in different styles and colors. I have several of their chargers.
Keeping the color palette in mind when decorating my table, I found navy dinner plates. I have several of Dollar Tree’s dinner plates, they are just as nice as Fiestaware.
Using 4 of my Mud Pie monogram salad plates on to the top of the navy dinner plates. I love the details of the plate.
Napkin and Napkin Ring
To finish the place setting, I am going to add a cute water pail napkin ring I made from a Mini Watering Can I found in Hobby Lobby. I cut the bottom out to make a napkin ring and added a navy gingham ribbon to the handle.
Placed the napkin through the pail, fix the pleats and flare out the edges.
Placed the napkin with pail on top of the salad plate. Isn’t that cute?
To create a tablescape, all I would have to do is add glasses and silverware.
