THERE’S NO PLACE LIKE HOME – CHRISTMAS MASTER BEDROOM TOUR

Today I am bringing you in the Master bedroom, I have the room decorated for Christmas and thought I would give you a tour of our bedroom.  The reason why I like to decorate the Master bedroom is because it’s located in a very high traffic area and can be viewed by all our guest.

Welcome to our Christmas home tour!  You will find some inspiring ideas to decorate your home this holiday season.  If you are coming over from Cindy, Cloches and Lavender, what do you think about her room?  My favorite is the fireplace and how she has it decorated, what’s your favorite?  I am joining this room tour with 5 other bloggers who will be sharing a space in their homes.  I will have all their links at the bottom of my page.

3 Easy Ways to Add Christmas to a Bedroom

  • To add touches of any season to your home regardless what room…..you guessed it, throw pillows.  I find most of my throw pillow covers on Amazon, so many styles to choose from.

  • Fill your favorite vase or container with a few Christmas floral picks, it’s all you need to change the look and feel of your room.  I purchased most of mine at many places.  Best time to purchase pick inexpensively would be after the season.

  • Another easy way to add Christmas to your bedroom would be, (if you have room) a Christmas tree.  Adding a Christmas tree brings a magical feel to any room.

The tree I placed in our Master bedroom is a 7 foot pencil tree.  Using a pencil tree in the room allows more walkway to the Master bathroom.

I gave you 3 easy ways to add Christmas to any space, let me share how I decorated our Master bedroom this Christmas season.

I placed one of my Kirkland’s Santa frames above our bed.

Another Santa behind the Christmas tree.

I added my repurposed lamp sitting on a wreath, a JOY wording and Santa up on the cabinet next to the Christmas tree.

On the dresser I added some Christmas picks to the smaller of the two ginger jars, a Santa figurine and my DIY Boho Christmas tree.

To view the BOHO Christmas Tree frame tutorial you can click here → BOHO CHRISTMAS TREE.

On the chest of drawers I added two reindeer, two votive cups and some greenery.

To my ladder I added a wreath and a warm blanket to cover up with on a cold winter’s night.

I hope you enjoyed the tour of our Master bedroom decorated for Christmas!  Do you decorate your bedroom?  Adding just the 3 little decorating tips I shared is an easy way to add Christmas to any room not only the bedroom.

  1. Terrie, Your bedroom is so cozy and warm and welcoming. Our bedroom is the same with double doors opening to the family room. Unfortunately, my husband has banned Christmas decor from the bedroom. Perhaps I will try and sneak some in, maybe just with pillows next year. I love everything you did, I would love to do it, too! Thanks so much for hosting this fun hop!

    1. Thanks Chloe, at first Mr. Tip was just like your hubby. I added a little bit more each year, and now we have a tree. ha! Good luck bringing Christmas into your room. I bet he wouldn’t mine just a little. Merry Christmas.

  2. This is amazing, Terrie! All these festive pops of red and plaid are stunning. I would have never thought to add the blue or the leopard print either but gosh it’s so striking. I love that you have a tree in your room too. We always had one in our rooms growing up and it was so much fun to fall asleep to the sparkling ornaments and twinkling lights. I appreciate you putting this hop together and including me. Hope you and your family have a joy filled holiday season, CoCo

    1. Thank you CoCo! I thought the two patterns would look fun together, blue is my favorite color so I had to add that. You are so welcome so happy you joined in the fun. Hope you have a safe and blessed holiday!

  3. Your bedroom is so festive! And you are so right, the picks and stems placed in strategic places make the room so put together and pretty. Love your whole tour. Hope you have the best day! Merry Christmas

    1. Thank you Patti. I never thought about the deer keeping them out past Christmas. Maybe I will this year. Thanks for the tip. I found the candle sticks with the battery operated candles on Amazon. I love them. Thank you for your sweet comment!

  4. Hi Terrie,

Your bedroom looks so prety. Love the animal print pillow mixed in it adds a fun look. Your deerarevery pretty and the lantern you made it adorable! You Boho Chritmas touch too.

    Cindy

    1. Thank you Cindy! I wanted to add a pop of leopard print in. I think the plaid and animal print look super cute together. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

  5. Terrie I love those throw pillows! Seriously cute. Also, I love the tool box at the end of the bed. I have my Dad’s old tool box that I repainted. At the old house it was the perfect size to sit in the middle of the table in the breakfast room. Since we’ve changed tables, it no longer fits as well. I’m definitely going to give it a try in other rooms now that I’ve seen yours. As always, such a pretty room!

    1. Thank you so much Tammy. Yes I love the throw pillows, I have a weakness with throw pillows and lanterns. Probably more than those 2 items. ha! You need to get your Dad’s tool box out and place it somewhere. Happy Holidays!
