I know, why is this still lingering on the shelves?  When I picked it up and saw the price tag I had to purchase it.  Why not?!  right?

I did pick up a few other clearance items, but today I am going to share how I changed this up to use for an every day décor piece in our home.  Never look at what it is, but what you can make of it!

Let me get started with my little makeover on this Easter arrangement.

I am not going to use anything in the little container besides the little styrofoam ball.  I am taking it all out.  It was pretty easy to remove.  Look at all the little things I can use for future DIYs!

Here is a little idea if you like my little makeover you can purchase this pail from the Dollar Tree to use for your container.

I am taping off the little label on my pot while I paint my container.

Taking some Ocean chalk paint and giving my pail a coat of paint or two.

Taking some Cashew chalk paint and a makeup sponge dabbing spots here and there all over my pail.

I am going to give it a little distressing with a Dollar Tree sand sponge.  I removed the tape and distressed the label slightly.

I am going to be using some Walmart flower bundles and one Dollar Tree flower bundle to add to my painted pail.

The flowers I used:

  • 2 Mini Daisy Pick
  • 1 Lavender Pick
  • 1 yellow Heather Spray Pick
  • 1 yellow Billy Button Pick
  • 1 Boxwood Pick
  • 1 Dollar Tree Cat Tail Massette Pick

Starting with the daisies, I cut the stems off the bundle and remove the leaves.

I place 4 of the flowers in the pail at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock position. I then filled in with the remaining cut off daisies.

Taking the yellow Billy Button, cutting the stems off the bundle and placing them in with the daisies.

Adding another yellow flower to the bunch.  I am using the Heather spray, cutting it off the bundle also.

Y’all, the lavender and lamb’s ear are in stock at our Walmart. Might want to check your store and stock up!! 🙂

I added lavender, massette and boxwood picks to the arrangement.

What do you think?

I just love the touch of color with the lavender.  If you watched my stories on Facebook or Instagram you know I am going to be changing things up in our home with a new pop of color.  HINT – HINT.

I love my color combo out on our porch so much that I want to bring it inside.
