EASY SPRING WREATH

Hey there, if you are coming over from Cindy, Cloches and Lavender welcome to Decorate and More with Tip!  I am sure you were very inspired with Cindy’s home and all of her decorations.  Today, is the first Blogger’s Seasonal Inspiration hop.  Cindy and myself decided to gather up a few friends to share some inspiration, what better way to get a full dose of inspiration than a great blog hop?  I will have all of our friend’s blog links at the bottom of my page.

To be honest, for today’s blog I was going to decorate and inspire you with my Easter decorations, but I found some Forsythia stems while gathering my Easter decorations and changed my mind.  I will still share my Easter wreath with you on a later blog! Here’s a sneak peak.

DIY FORSYTHIA WREATH

I usually hang a pretty wreath on the old bi-fold door in the family room.  This Spring I decided to use the Forsythia stems I found at Dollar Tree last year, they will make a beautiful Spring wreath.

I shared a video tutorial as well.  You can click here to view that → EASY SPRING WREATH TUTORIAL.

I am taking the 5 Dollar Tree Forsythia stems snipping the stems into 2 pieces.  I snipped the top piece at the bottom to create a stem to poke into the wreath, which gave me a small piece to use as a filler.

I am using a sunburst grapevine wreath I found at a thrift store for the base of my wreath.

Placing the stems into the wreath by poking them securely into the wreath.  I don’t use hot glue to the stems, only because I like reusing the wreath.  I did hear you can use a hair dryer to soften up the glue to remove the picks.  I have no problem with my stems falling out so I don’t glue them in.

I continue adding the stems into the wreath.

I love the airy look of the wreath.

I placed the wreath on the bi-fold door until I change it up with an Easter wreath. 🙂

  1. So pretty Terrie! when I see Forsythia I always get excited because I know Spring is on the way! I can’t wait for your post with the Easter wreath, that’s adorable too!

  2. I like how easy to make this spring wreath is, Terrie!!! I do watch many of your videos when they pop up on IG, but it’s always fun to read about them on the blog, too. I try to use minimal hot glue on things anymore for the very reason you named: reuse!

Enjoy your pretty wreath and happy spring decorating,
    Hugs,
    Barb 🙂

    1. Thank you for coming over watching and reading my tutorials. I appreciate it very much. The wreath is something I can use even after Easter for a little while. Happy Spring to you my friend.

  3. I love the bright yellow for spring. After all the brown and white of winter, I am drawn to anything that has pretty color right now!

    Pinned.

PS. I’d love it if you’d share this at my link party, Sundays on Silverado, which is open now. 🌷

  4. I’m such a HUGE fan of forsythia in the springtime! It always makes me smile because it adds such a burst of sunshine to everything! Love your wreath, Terrie! P.S. That easter wreath looks SUPER fun can’t wait to learn more!

    1. Aw thank you Christine. Love your visits. I agree the bright yellow does put a smile on my face as well. I love the bright colors in the Easter wreath too. Thanks for coming over!

  5. I can’t believe you found those gorgeous stems at the dollar tree, Terrie, that is so cool! Love the wreath you’ve created and I can’t wait to find out more about your Easter wreath too. They are both so fantastic! Thanks so much for putting this fun hop together and for including me. Big hugs, CoCo

    1. I know, they had the forsythia and a cherry blossom, I had to pick up both that year. I will be sharing the Easter one soon, although I didn’t make it. 🙁 Thanks for joining in on the hop it’s always fun working with you.

  6. Forsythia is perfect for early spring. It’s one of the first things to bloom.

I love reusing stems you find and the thrifted wreath was a great score.

    1. I love when the flowers start to bloom, it can’t be soon enough for me. Not rushing the time just needing some pretty colors to look at. This was a fun hop. Love working with you Cindy!

  7. Oh, I like how you styled the wreath with the door! I took my kids’ school pictures last year in front of the neighbor’s forsythia bushes across the fence. What a bright, spring color– and how fast those bushes grow!

  8. Well, you know I love your Easter wreath, but your forsythia wreath is just as pretty! I love how light and airy it is. It really does make you think of spring. LOVE it!

    1. Thanks Tammy. I will be sharing how the doors look with the change of wreaths. Trying to hold off the Easter decor until I can take a video of our home on a daily basis.

  9. Terrie,
I love it! I have been wanting to get a Forsythia wreath but they are so expensive. This is a beautiful idea. I cant wait to see your Easter wreath also, it looks so cute!! Have a beautiful day!

    1. I was looking at a premade one in Kirkland’s the other day, although it was fuller the price was too steep for me. This one turned out pretty and the price didn’t hurt. ha! Thanks Corine!
