Today I’m joining Tammy Patina and Paint as we kick off the One Room at a Time series/ Half Bath.

If you are new to our One Room at a Time series, let me explain.  We take one room in our home and give it a refresh/makeover on a budget in 4 weeks.  We will share here on the blog the updates every Friday with the reveal on June 17th.

A little background of our half bath, it’s a 4′ x 6′ space and that’s counting the vanity.

Inspiration project board

Creating project boards are always fun, placing things on paper gives the feel of it being in the room.

List of things I want to change

The walls

The walls are the first thing I want to change.   They are painted Pure Earth by Behr with a heavy texture.  My goal is to brighten the walls by adding wallpaper and board and batten.

The vanity

I will be changing the look of the cabinet; the bohemian gray granite countertop will stay as is.

Lighting and reflection

The light fixture and mirror, depending on how the budget works, I would like to replace them both.

The toilet

A simple and inexpensive way to give a little cuteness to the tank is changing out the handle.  Never thought about it until Tammy Patina and Paint said she was changing out theirs.  Now, I want to change ours as well.

I am excited to get started with this project, make sure you come by here every Friday to see how the project is going.

Let’s go over to see what Tammy has in mind for her half bath.
