Well, finally we are finished with our spring cleaning, at least on the inside of our home. Thank you for coming by as we cleaned our homes. Tammy, Patina and Paint has been joining me in our Spring Clean with Us – Season 2024, we are so happy you came by and watched, read our blogs and commented on each of them as we cleaned our home. We hope you gathered up some tips and tricks for your next deep cleaning.
For some reason during my spring cleaning I get the urge to not only deep clean a room but give it a fresh new look. Maybe it’s something that comes over me when I empty out the room to give it a thorough cleaning or maybe I was inspired by something I saw, regardless, it’s good and healthy to change things every now and then.
Up on my Facebook page I shared some cleaning and painting tips. If you missed them you can click here to head over to watch the videos. PAINTING WITH A BROOM and today’s video, HOW TO DEEP CLEAN YOUR MATTRESS.
Now that our master bedrooms are clean, Tammy and I want to share how they look with some new touches. I will have Tammy’s blog post link down at the end of my page.
Refreshing our bedroom has always been something that excites me, however the one thing I hear a lot of, “It has to get expensive to change things as much as you do?” Not necessarily, let me share how you can refresh a room without robbing a bank.
Let me give you 5 easy and affordable ways to refresh your bedroom.
-
Change up your bedding –
Swapping your bedding is an instant mood changer. It’s such a simple way to make your space feel new and inviting.
You might notice that I have changed a few things. I swapped out the thick furry blanket for a light quilt, on top of the quilt I added a chunky blanket. That is new, everything else I had on the bed.
2. Paint your walls or furniture a different color.
Paint is a very affordable way to change the look of a space. Whether you want to brighten the space with a warm white or create a moody feel with a dark mauve color, paint will be your best friend.
I had paint on hand from other projects. I painted the board and batten grid wall with Dovetail grey, it was left over from my kitchen nook project. I painted the furniture with paint I had on hand as well. I did purchase new handles for each piece.
3. Add a seasonal arrangement to the room.
One of my favorite thing to do is adding stems to a pretty vase. Faux or real stems will elevate the look of your space, also can add color to the room without breaking the bank.
4. Change up your decor.
Decorating your space help tell the story of your design, and are one of the easiest and most cost-effective ways to change up the look and feel of a room without costing a dime.
5. Replace or clean the drapes.
Rather you replace, dry clean or wash your drapes, it will give the room freshness with crisp cleaned feel.
I like to clean mine twice a year to remove dust and other particles that get lodged in the fabric.
Even just one of my 5 tips can make you love your home more and more! And you know it’s really all about loving our home and creating a warm and inviting home for our families.
So, I encourage you to be inspired by what you see, use that inspiration to create!

Switching out decor, linens, and a deep clean is my go-to method. Your room looks like a sanctuary! So pretty.
OK. After seeing your beautiful bedroom I’m off to buy all new stuff and start over! Beautiful room Terrie!
