When changing colors for your Christmas color scheme you either have to go out and buy the decorations or you have to get creative. I did a little bit of both to all my rooms, I am going to share with you today how I spent a little bit on money to create a pretty vanity area.
I don’t know if this happens to you when using a soap dispenser and then storing it for the next season it gets all clogged up and never works the same way. What I have been doing is buying a color bottled and display it on my counter. I brought out the soap I used for my Valentine’s home. It works for this season too.
I did purchase a pretty Christmas soap dispenser this year. I changed it up a bit. I removed the pump part and added a bow to the top and sat it on top of a candle holder.
Having blush as your Christmas color it is a little harder to find Christmas hand towels. So what I did was take a regular pretty towel and add some Christmas to it. I tied a bow around it adding a diamond embellishment to the bow. I think it works, do you?
Having a ribbon on my hand towel I needed something for my guest to dry their hands with. I like to have paper towels in all our bathrooms for our guest to use anyway so I rearranged my hand towel trays from bathroom to bathroom. So I guess you can say I shopped my home.
For the main decor in the room, I wanted to have something tall for the corner. I took my thrift store lantern and placed a bow and faux evergreen to the top of it.
In the lantern I took one of my red Santas and painted his coat and hat pink. I used chalk paint gave it two coats and then sealed him. I think he turned out perfect. Never know next year he might turn back red! Good thing about paint.
That is how I add touches of Christmas to our guest bathroom. I didn’t spend a lot of money, but did take some time making it look like I did.
Thank you for stopping by today so I can share with you our Christmas Guest Bathroom. If you change colors just remember you don’t have to spend a lot of money and go out and buy new items. Look at what you have around your home and make some changes to it.

Decorating our home on a budget is my thrill. I think a home can look beautiful without breaking the bank. Your home should bring the best out of you and make you feel happy. You should smile every time you enter your home. 🙂
Terrie, I love how you are using pink in your Christmas Decor!! It’s just so elegant! You did a beautiful job decorating your bathroom!
Thank you Cate. I can’t wait to share with you my master bedroom and family room if you like this! Stay tune….It’s all coming!
This is a beautiful dressed bathroom! Pink is my fave color so I’m biased but I bet everyone else feels the same way. And repurposing an old soap bottle for decor is so clever! I love it all!
Cindy, this year I have really had to step up with my creative thinking or I would had to borrow from our retirement fund. ha! No, but seriously when changing to a new color and a hard color to find Christmas decor, you do have to step out of the box. Thanks for visiting!
So many creative ways to use what you already have. Love the chalk painted Santa.
