The master bathroom hasn’t been shared on the blog since the $100 Room Challenge, so I thought I’d share what it looks like today. I did paint over the stenciling, but that’s all the changes I have made since then. With adding warmth to the bedroom, I need to do the same with the bathroom. Adding some wood tones is what I will be doing.
Bathroom Before
Just like the master bedroom, it is lacking warmth.
Bathroom After
Adding wood tones and some color to the bathroom.
Master Bathroom Refresh
No structure change, just adding color in decor pieces.
For the window I didn’t want to cover the window completely, therefore I chose to do a simple DIY pleated linen valance. Adding a valance to the window adds softness and using the same material as the bedroom’s curtains brings the two spaces together to creates flow.
OK, for the garden tub, I’ve always wanted a bathtub tray, but never purchased one. At first, I thought why buy one when I can make one? After looking at trays to place on the tub, it wouldn’t be any less money to make one. Look how cute! It actually gives the space some warmth.
I’m one that can’t sit long enough in one spot, but maybe I can catch a video or two while I try.
When I do want to relax, I placed an apothecary jar with Epson salt and a wooden scoop to add to the water with ease.
To the step, I changed the basket placing the towels and bath brush inside for an easy grab.
I changed almost everything on my vanity, I changed the vase with a terracotta vase I found in Kirkland’s.
I added a wooden tray, plant and three apothecary jars to hold cotton balls, Q-tips and flossers in place of the two glass containers I used before.
I changed the container I place all my makeup brushes in with a glass container.
To the back wall, I changed out the towels only. They are the same towels I placed in the towel rings but tied twine around them.
So that’s it, little changes here and there to warm up the room.
