Hey there! Welcome to Decorate and More with Tip! Here on my blog I share how you can decorate your home on a budget. I share budget friendly decorations by creating it from scratch, revamping, re-purposing or giving it a makeover with easy tutorials. I hope I inspire you to create something beautiful for your home. 🙂
If you have followed me long you notice a lot of bedding changes in our Master Bedroom. I love to look for inexpensive ways to change the look of our bedroom. One way I keep it cost friendly is by changing a few pieces. You can view all of my bedroom changes here ⇒ MY BEDROOM INSPIRATION.
I had a couple of questions asked about my bedding. I hope I answered them here on this blog post.
One question was, ” where do you store your bed pillows you sleep on?” I place them in the very back resting on the head board and place all my decorative pillow shams in front of them.
Another question, “Can you tell me about your bedding?”. Here you go.
Main Bedding
With all the changes that occurs on the bed you will find I keep the main pieces on the bed. I purchased the white comforter set on Amazon, it’s Madison Park Celeste 5 Piece Comforter Set, White, Cal King.

The little details the comforter has are so cute, it will go with any style or season.
I love a layer look on a bed. I normally fold another comforter, quilt or a duvet to the foot of the bed. I purchased the Reversible Damask Medallion Percale Duvet Cover on Amazon. I love the pattern and color of the duvet. It came with two king size shams, which I decided to not use.
One thing about using a duvet instead of an actual comforter would be how easy it is to laundry. I worry about washing a bulky comforter afraid it would ball up after washing it. I shared on a previous blog post how I add a down comforter into a duvet easily. You can check that tutorial out here ⇒ HOW TO ADD COMFORTER TO A DUVET.
Pillows
You know I love my throw pillows. This is another way to change the look of your bedroom decor. I placed two large ruffled euro shams in front of the Madison Park shams. I purchased the TEALP Decorative Shams on Amazon. Came in a set of two.
We have a king size bed which I could of easily used three of the shams but wanted the look of two large throw pillows instead of the look of a row of pillow shams.
For accent in front of the two large white pillows I added two yellow gingham throw pillows. I purchased on Amazon KELEMO Square Pillowcase Yellow Gingham 20X20 Inch Throw Pillow Covers
It has a hidden zipper to keep it easy to slip your pillow form in.
I love the contrast between the three patterns, the pillows and duvet.
To set the look with the last throw pillow. Adding a pop of the duvet color with the yellow. What’s allowed on mixing patterns? By sharing a common color palette. I purchased the pillow on Amazon as well. Foreside Home & Garden Woven 14 x 22 inch Decorative Cotton Throw Pillow Cover.
I love the pillow for so many reasons. The details of the stitching and the cute rope tassels on each side.
It has a nice zipper in the back to slip the pillow form in and out for laundering. It does come with a pillow form.
I didn’t add a tray or throw to this style. I kept it simple this season. It would look so cute with a yellow linen throw and a nice white tray, wouldn’t it?
Another question I get often when sharing our master bedroom is, “where did you get your JuJu hat? It was a DIY I shared back last July. Here is the tutorial ⇒ JUJU HAT WALL DECOR TUTORIAL.
I hope my bedding refresh gave you inspiration
