OUR CHRISTMAS FAMILY ROOM TOUR

Hello!  I am so happy that you came to visit me and to tour my Christmas Family room, the heart of our home.   This year’s color palette is a little different but none the less, I LOVE it!  The soft blush paired with gold has brought some elegance into our home.  To view my Christmas Home Tours from 2017 & 2018 you can click MY CHRISTMAS HOME TOUR.

Welcome to my Blushin’ & Gold Christmas Family Room!

Let’s start with the Tree.  I used the same picks I used last year.  If you haven’t seen my tutorial on how I made my plain Christmas tree look flocked you can check that out here {{How I made my tree looked flocked}}.

I found my blush tree decorations at a few places.  TjMaxx, Wal-mart and Home Goods.  The ribbon I found at TjMaxx.

Here is the view walking into our family room from the foyer.

Let’s take a look at my Christmas Fireplace.

Where to begin?  Are your eyes on the mirror Christmas tree?  I am so exited to share the DIY with you…you can check that DIY out here DIY MOSAIC CHRISTMAS TREE!  My favorite Christmas designer would be Rebecca Robeson.  She is the QUEEN of decorating for Christmas.  She had a You-Tube video on how her and her daughter made a Christmas tree out of broken mirror.  What a perfect DIY for above my mantel.

I added my thrift store brass candlesticks along with some of my candle holders that I had around the home.  If you missed my blog on my thrift store candlesticks you can go here {{how to clean brass candlesticks}}.

I found the flock garland at Big Lots when they were running their after Christmas sale.  I got two bundles of the garland.  I added the lights to it.

I found the stockings at TjMaxx.  I added the Dollar Tree Joy ornament and ribbon to the stocking.  I didn’t want to add a stocking holder to the mantel so I tied the garland to the stocking.

On the hearth

On one side, I added my two floor lanterns.

Placed one of my baskets with two pillows, logs, flocked pick and a blush throw.  The tree pillow is from Pier 1.  Here is the link for the pillow {{Beaded Modern Tree Mini Pillow}}.  The other pillow I had last year that I bought off Amazon.  It came as a set of 4. {{Canvas Cotton Embroidery Throw Covers Christmas Throw Covers}}. The throw I had on hand, I found it at Ross.

Along with the pillows I added some Christmas logs and a pick that I found at Dollar Tree.  I love this pick and could only find one.  When I was at the checkout the girl working there didn’t even know they had this.

On the other side I added my two Christmas Reindeer.  I added a bow to each of their necks.  I found the deer at Kirkland’s several years ago.  If you remember the reindeer they were standing strong in my Christmas Master bedroom last year.  You can check that out here {{2017 Christmas Master Bedroom}}.

On the coffee table

I found the Candle holders and Christmas Trees on Amazon.  {{The Lakeside Collection Set of 2 Lighted Glass Trees}} and {{Richland Pillar Candle Holders Unique Mercury Bubble Set of 3}}.  I added my glitter Reindeer and faux painted books to make the coffee table vignette complete.

Side tables

On this tier table you will notice my DIY Folded Book Decor.  I shared the DIY last Christmas season with you.  If you missed that you can go here {{ Folded book pages decor}}.

On my round side table, I added two pink mercury glass vases.  I found at TjMaxx.  The gold candle I found at Home Goods.  And the little gold candle plate at Dollar Tree several years ago.  I kept my DIY Kleenex glass jar on the table.  You can check the tutorial on the tissue dispenser here DIY TISSUE DISPENSER.

I added ornaments and beads to the smaller vase and the larger one I stuck in a Christmas pick inside.

On my other side table I added a hydrangea arrangement and candle. I had the arrangement last year I changed it up a bit.   I removed the red berries and added a Christmas ornament I found at Wal-mart.

On the TV console I wanted to add a little Christmas without blocking the view, I added a Christmas topiary and a little reindeer.

I placed a gold foiled ribbon garland to his neck.

Cabinet decor

I shared with you my Top Shelf clearance challenge where I found the three glass vases and Dollar Tree ornaments, if you missed that you can go here {{Top Shelf Clearance Challenge – Tis the Season}}.  I went back to our Dollar Tree and I did pick up another blush, silver & gold ornament tube.  That’s all they had. 🙁

This year I only placed one of my many Santa prints on the wall.   This has variety of colors which works nicely with my color scheme.

The back wall

My fabric painted chair is still going strong.  If you missed that tutorial you can check that out here {{How to paint upholstery interior paint and fabric}}.

I added a white candle stick with another one of my gold candles.  I placed some ornaments in a wire basket.

Adding a small touch of Christmas with a ribbon and greenery to the books.  I placed the books on top of my DIY knitted chunky throw.  If you missed my tutorial on how I made that you can go here {{How to knit a yarn bee chunky throw}}.

The chest

I added my other flocked garland and added lights to this one also.  Added my Christmas deer and a new Santa that I found at Ross.  I am in love with the colors of his wardrobe.

Isn’t he cute?

I added my three Kirkland’s gold Christmas trees.  I purchased these trees several years ago.

This brings us to the end of our Christmas Family Room Tour.
