This month I am sharing how easy it is to make your own Christmas tree skirt for under $10. Here is a little do it yourself tree skirt that is very easy to do and is affordable too.
We only need four items
- 1 yard of fabric
- ribbon
- cardboard
- plastic bags
Measure your ree stand and add 4 inches more. Mine is 20 inches so I am going to cut a 24 inch circle out of a piece of poster board. I had this on hand but a piece of cardboard would work perfectly.
- Cut your piece of fabric into a circle.
- Place your piece of fabric pattern side down
- Place the circle of card board in the center of your fabric
- Add your Christmas tree in the center of your card board.
Take several plastic grocery bags and place around the base of your tree.
Gather up your fabric to the truck of the tree.
Take your ribbon and wrap it around the tree and your fabric.
Tie the ribbon and pull up on the top of your fabric to the shape you want the ball of your skirt.
Make a bow.
That’s it, step back and enjoy the view of a fun tree skirt that you made all by yourself.

Decorating our home on a budget is my thrill. I think a home can look beautiful without breaking the bank. Your home should bring the best out of you and make you feel happy. You should smile every time you enter your home. 🙂
