Another room cleaned and organized.  The last two weeks Tammy Patina and Paint and I have been sharing how we deep clean our homes.  I want to give you recap of what I did to make our family room feel clean and fresh.  I will have Tammy’s blog post at the bottom of my page sharing her family room all cleaned and decorated.

Baseboards, Moulding and Trim

I always like to work from top to bottom when I clean.  All the trim, moulding and baseboards were cleaned.

Not sure about you, but knowing all the trim is clean, gives me satisfaction and the feeling of accomplishment.  As you can tell, I have a lot of trim work in our family room alone.

Windows and Blinds

Next up was windows and blinds.

Although it took patience to clean the blinds, successfully cleaning the windows made a big difference in how our home looks and feels.

Furniture

Another accomplishment was cleaning our leather furniture.

Cleaning our leather furniture was another task that wasn’t fun, but knowing the dirt and grim has been removed and the leather has been conditioned, was rewarding itself.

Fireplace

The last tough job was cleaning the fireplace.

This task wasn’t a deep clean, I deep clean the gas logs before Fall, the season when we turn on the gas logs to prevent the smell of dust burning.  Spring cleaning, I typically dust off the logs and clean the brick surrounding of the insert.

I did the normal polishing the furniture and cleaning the hardwood floors.

There nothing better than a thoroughly cleaned room.  Little by little our home is getting deep cleaned.
