Not only do we need to make a pretty bed, but our dresser should be another area we should decorate.  Tell me do you decorate your dresser or is it a catch all with clutter?  Let’s clean up the clutter and decorate it with pretty home decor pieces.

I am sharing a few tips on how I styled our dresser.  Like how I styled our dresser?  If so, keep on reading.

One thing I like to do is layers.  This keeps things from looking flat and lifeless.  I started by laying down the DIY CUTTING BOARD for a base.

To start building my dressers vignette, I added the largest item to the board.  The tall vase with floral stems.

• Cream Fuji Mum Stem
• Cream Foam Protea Stem
• Blue Bud Thistle
• Cream Faux Eucalyptus

To keep my setting from looking lopsided, I added 3 different style, size and color candlesticks to the other side of the board for a balanced look.

• Gold Candlestick
• Natural Wood Beaded Candleholder
• Battery Operated Tapered Candles
• 4 inch Battery Operated Candle

Now the fun part, adding those additional decorative pieces to build up the look.  To finish I added a bowl riser, another vase and the top of the ginger jar I placed the stems in.

To give the vignette a touch of drama, I added the black beads to the vase, tucking them into the top of the vase.
