It’s time for the monthly DIY Challenge, this month we do not have a theme, it’s a free for all. There are 7 DIYers including myself to inspire you. The rules are simple, create something of your choice to share. At the bottom of my page, I will have all of the other DIYer’s projects.

Lazy Susan Tutorial
I am going to show you how easy it is to build your own turn table tray.
Supplies you will need:
- A 16″ and 13″ wooden round
- Lazy Susan hardware
- drill
- 8 wood screws (the size depends on the thickness of your wood rounds)
- pencil
- tape measure
- paint
I cut my wood rounds with scrap wood, if you don’t want to cut your wooden rounds yourself, you can purchase your pieces.
Center the hardware onto the 13″-piece, mark predrilled holes onto the board.
- With a pencil mark the 4-bottom part of the hardware onto the round.
- Move the top plate where the large hole is in the center of the bottom plate, mark.
Center the hardware to one side of the 16″ round and mark the 4 holes the same way.
Predrill on the marks.
Use a larger drill bit, large enough to allow a screwdriver to go throw to the larger mark on the 13″ board.
Attach the hardware with 4 wood screws to the predrilled holes on the 13″ round. This is the time to paint or stain the inner part of the rounds.
Attached the top piece to the bottom piece with screws, by using the large, drilled hole. Lining up the predrilled holes with the bracket.
That’s all you have to do to build your turn table.
Paint the top and sides of your turn table; I am painting mine white and then adding a coat of Antique wax.
Lastly, I placed furniture pads to the bottom part of my turn table to protect my surfaces I place it on.
I can’t wait to use my turn table on my next painting project!
