Hey there! Welcome to one of my favorite blog hops, the DIY Challenge. I gathered 8 DIYers and myself today to share what we can do with Mod Podge. The rules are simple, create something fabulous with Mod Podge. At the bottom of my page, I will have all of the other DIYer’s Mod Podge projects.

I am working on Easter decorations, so I decided my mod podge project will be something for Easter. I am creating an Easter stained glass frame. It was another fun and easy project. Here is all you need.
- Mod Podge
- Food coloring
- 8 x 10 picture frame
- A printout of your choice.
Easter Stained Glass Art Tutorial
First Step:
Take apart your frame.
I am using a frame I had on hand, so I painted the gold frame.
Second Step:
Find a cute little scenery you want to use. I found mine on google, I searched “Easter coloring page”. Before I printed it out, I changed it to be a mirror image.
Third Step:
Clean your glass panel, I used alcohol and a paper towel. Center your design page under the glass panel.
Forth Step:
Mix your mod podge with the food coloring. I used 1 – 2 tablespoons of mod podge to 1 drop of food coloring to make the colors, I listed the mixed colors below.
- Brown: 1 drop of red and 1 drop of green
- Orange: 1 drop of red and 1 drop of yellow
- Greyish purple: 2 drops of red and 1 drop of blue
Fifth Step:
Using a paint brush, paint your color mod podge in your design. Using the lines as a template.
As it dries the colored mod podge will separate. It will need two coats.
For the bunny’s tail I took a small piece of cotton gluing it in place.
To complete the bunny, I took a small piece of a cotton and glued it to the bunny.
Last Step:
Hot glue the glass panel into the frame, making sure you put the painted side up (if you have wording). Pinch down the metal pins so they are not seen from the front, but still holding in the glass.
I took a piece of jute rope and stapled it to the frame.
You can hang it on your window, wall or place it on an easel. I think either way it looks cute.

Decorating our home on a budget is my thrill. I think a home can look beautiful without breaking the bank. Your home should bring the best out of you and make you feel happy. You should smile every time you enter your home. 🙂
