It’s time for another monthly Creative Craft hop, this month we have 10 crafters sharing some fun crafts.  A warm welcome back to Sara, Birdz of a Feather, she is back hosting the craft hop.  At the bottom of my page, I will share each participant’s link to their craft.

If you are coming over from Niki Life as a Leo wife , welcome!

For my craft today, I am using some items from Dollar Tree.  This is a simple craft, here are the supplies you need.

  • Dollar Tree round framed mirror
  • 60 Jenga blocks.  1 box from Dollar Tree
  • hot glue
  • wood glue (optional)
  • paint, color of your choice

Block Mirror Tutorial

Remove the mirror from the frame, paint your frame.  I painted mine with Waverly chalk paint in ivory.

Remove the blocks from the package.

Place 4 blocks to the frame, centering top, bottom and both sides.

Take two blocks and place beside each centered block.

Continue to add two blocks to each of the other first three blocks.

Space out each block evenly and then glue the blocks to the frame.

I used both hot glue and wood glue.

The next row glue blocks where there are spaces between each block.

Add two more rows to the mirror the same way.

Giving a different look to the 4th row, I glued blocks vertically in between the horizontal blocks.

To remove the glue webs, use hot air from a hair dryer or heat gun.

After my frame was together, I decided to go with a different color.  I am spray painting it with Rust-0leum Oil Rubbed Bronze.

To give it touches of copper highlights, I dry brushed Folkart Metallic Copper craft paint to the mirror’s frame and blocks.

Add the mirror and backing back in the frame.

Thanks for stopping by, make sure you check out the other crafter’s craft below.  Next up is Allyson Southern Sunflower, she is giving a free printable for her craft.  How fun is that???
