Hello! Welcome to Decorate and More with Tip. I am creating some decorative carrots today. How fun is it to use things you have on hand to decorate for Easter?

Here are the items you can use to make your own carrots.
- empty paper towel or wrapping paper roll -or
- a piece of newspaper or card stock rolled into a cone
- scrap material, ribbon, yarn or old clothing
- hot glue gun and glue sticks
Cut your material into strips.
- for the carrot’s body one 30″ x 1/2″ strip
- for the carrot’s top fifteen 12″ x 1/4″ strips
I am using a wrapping paper roll cutting it 7 inches long.
Crunch up the piece of your roll in the shape of a sugar cone.
Take your 12 inch strips and tie a knot in the center.
Take the end of the tube and open it up, add some hot glue all around the inner edge and stick the knot inside.
Take two small pieces of your 30″ strip and glue it to cover the tip of your carrot.
Take the rest of the strip, starting at the bottom tip wrap it around the whole carrot form. Hot gluing a couple places to keep the layers in place. At the top, cut your strip and glue it down and tuck the end over inside the top.
AND there we have a carrot. How cute is this? You can make it out of yarn, material, burlap, ribbon or even an old t-shirt. Doesn’t have to be orange and green. Make it your own, put your own spin on it. I am here to give you some inspiration. Grab you some items and make a carrot.
I am going to place mine in my mixing bowl. I think they are adorable!
I hope you liked my homemade carrots. I had fun searching the home for things I could use to make them and then share with you!
