Hey there! Welcome to Decorate and More with Tip! Here on my blog I share how you can decorate your home on a budget. I share budget friendly decorations by creating it from scratch, revamping, re-purposing or giving it a makeover with easy tutorials. I hope I inspire you to create something beautiful for your home. 🙂
I have been dreaming about a room with all of my hobbies in it. Before I start, I listed all the must haves. I trimmed some down because the room is only so big. 🙂 Below, I am sharing the plans/dreams for my craft room. It’s exciting on one hand and dreading the hard work on the other. I have rolled up my sleeves and ready to go.

As of today here is what the room looks like.
The lighting from the window changes the hues of the room.
I decided on the color scheme for the room. I am staying with blues and green.
To add everything in such a small room and keep it nice and tidy I decided to make stations per wall. Here are my plans for the room.
SUPPLY STATION
The closet will serve for this station. My hope for the closet is keeping it functional with plenty of storage. To help keep things in order and free from the eye I placed some upcycled drawer organizers. You can see the tutorial of how I painted the bins here UPCYCLED STORAGE ORGANIZER.
The window wall will have two stations. I plan on adding sheers for the window treatment. This will let light shine through since this is the only source of nature lighting.
CAMERA STATION
With blogging I have a couple things that I need to store. Tripod, selfie stick and my Canon Rebel and accessories. Before I kept them all in the camera bag and other closets I am happy that I will have a space to store it all in the same area.
WRAPPING STATION
Another station that I would love to have would be somewhere I can store all of my wrapping paper, ribbons and gift bags. I would really love this station during the Christmas season.
PAINT STATION
This is a must in the room. Y’all know my affair with paint! 🙂 I had it all scattered throughout our home, laundry room, garage and craft closet. I am really excited about the plans I have for this room. The whole wall will be shelving to store my paint.
CRICUT STATION
I want a space where I can go to my printer or cricut without having to take it out of the closet, plug it in and set it up. I love the thought of just going to the area to start my task.
SEWING STATION
A sewing station would be nice. I don’t sew a lot of the time because I have to take the sewing machine out of the closet and bring it into the kitchen. Having a dedicated space for the sewing machine, scissors and thread right there for me to work on would be so much easier.
Last station and most important one!
WORK STATION
Having a destination space where I can sit and work on my DIYs or crafts is a must for my space. I will place the table in the center of the room. It will be a DIY desk that has a large work surface area.
The first thing I need to do before I can start working on each station is paint the walls white. White walls will brighten up the work area and make it look larger. I also plan to change the light bulbs to LED white bright lights. You know I will share each station on how I created the space. 🙂
