FALL TABLESCAPE

Hello Friends!  Welcome back to all of my Decorate & More friends!  If you are visiting for the first time thank you so much I hope you will continue to come visit me.

How was your weekend?  Let me tell you first off….I am dead tired.  We had a fantastic time in Destin, FL over last week with our children and my dear cousin and her family.  We had the perfect weather.  Could not believe how perfect the weather was for the beach. Just resting on the beach and going out at night just wore this little lady out!  We left right before Nate was heading to our state of Alabama.  The traffic was unbearable.  I guess with fall breakers leaving and people trying to get out of Dodge with Nate soon approaching it was bumper to bumper all the way home!  By the time we got home, unpacked and started laundry I was beat.  I am ready to get into my daily routine for sure.

Let me get started with the tablescapes.  I was just going to do my formal fall tablescape, but after I was done I thought you might not want formal so I did two simple fall tablescapes.  Hope you enjoy!

I like to keep my kitchen table fully dressed; a centerpiece, and a place setting at each chair.  We don’t use the kitchen table every day since it is just my husband and myself, we sit at our bar to eat our meals.  I don’t have to move the tablescape every day to set the dinner table.  My everyday tablescape is a simple planter with greenery and each place setting consist of: 4 white wicker place mats, bamboo charger plate and a monogram salad plate.  I place a napkin under each plate.  I will go into more details when we tour the kitchen.

Up first is the formal tablescape that I just love.  It is the wow factor that I was hoping to acheive. I went with white and silver.  You could switch out the colors and put the color you like in their place. Before I go through the steps on how I did the table.  I have a DIY to show you.  I had four green leaf plates I purchased years ago from Dollar General.  I also had 4 little brown glass pumpkins that I purchased at the Dollar Tree.  I spray painted the leaf plates ivory and the pumpkins silver using looking glass spray paint.

I started with a clean table.  I placed my 4 distressed wicker place mats down at each chair.  If I was having dinner I would be placing a table cloth underneath before dressing the table.  Since it is just for the season decor I wanted to show the table top.
I placed 4 silver charger plates on each placemat.  Some of the photos look like they are gold.
I placed a white dinner plate on each charger.  I placed my monogram salad plate on top of each plate.
You know I love to layer.  My table decor is no different.
I placed the painted leaf plate on top of the monogram salad plate and the silver painted pumpkin on top of that.
I placed a white linen napkin with a silver napkin ring to the side of the place setting.  The napkin rings I bought at the Dollar Tree.  They come 6 in a package.  Can you tell they are plastic?  I normally buy them to do a DIY napkin ring.  I love to keep these on hand in my craft closet.

Here is how I did the napkin.  Very easy, but will show you just in case you want to do your napkins like I did here.

Lay your napkin flat on a surface.  Pick up the napkin from the center.  Pull the napkin in the napkin ring.  That’s it!

Fluff and fix the folds at the end and you have a simple decorative napkin.

I placed 4 water glasses to each place setting.

The center piece I placed my silver candelabra with 5 tapered battery operated candles, purchased from the Dollar Tree.  Each takes 2 AAA batteries.  I love them for our dinner parties.  I placed my mercury glass pumpkin, my revamped white with bling pumpkin, two votive candle sticks on each side of the centerpiece.  3 silver votive candle holders and some white flowers laying throughout the centerpiece.

Here are some more photos of the completed tablescape.

Everyday Fall Tablescape

This is just a simple tablescape for the fall season.I used a red braided table mat, a brown bamboo charger plate, orange plate.  Instead of a napkin I found a wall decor at the Dollar Tree and placed them on each orange plate.

For the centerpiece; a planter with greenery and a pumpkin sitting on top.  Scarecrow holding an orange ornament ball.  4 wooden pumpkins and a fall festive candle.  I like the textures on this table plus the look of layering.  That’s it!

Here are a few pictures of the table.

Fun Halloween Tablescape

This is a fun tablescape.  Again, very simple.Placed 4 pumpkin place mats, black chargers, orange dinner plate, black napkin tied with an orange ribbon and 3 mini tootsie roll pops tucked in the middle.  I found the place mats, black chargers and the orange dinner plates all at the Dollar Tree.  I had these for several years.  The Dollar Tree has new items that you could use if you can’t find what I have in this setting.

Centerpiece: a whimsical pumpkin bowl with greenery tucked inside, two black pillar candle holders, black and orange striped pillar candles.  That’s it.

Here are the photos of this tablescape.

I hope you enjoyed the three tablescapes that I created.  I hope you saw something you would like to do on your table for the fall season.   Just roll up your sleeves and get your designer’s caps on.  Please post some of your fall decor on my Facebook page.  I would love to see your designs!
