Happy Friday everyone! Two more days until Easter. WOW! How time flies.
Today I want to share with you my Easter tablescape. I decided not to set our dining room table this year. With just our small family getting together my thoughts were cozy togetherness!
I am working with things that I have around the home. I didn’t go out and buy any Easter decorations this year. Maybe after the holiday I will find Easter decorations on clearance.
My inspiration for this tablescape…..carrots!!! I know not a typical Easter theme. But Easter bunny loves him some carrots! ♥ The color to me just caught my eye and looks so bright and cheery.
Like always I will share with you how I set my table from start to finish.
Let’s get started!
The Centerpiece:
Like I stated earlier, I have nothing when it comes to rabbits or anything Easter. No wait! I have a rabbit! I remember that I have a yard ornament that was given to us back in 1986 by a sweet family friend. She made this for us. Both ears were broken and glued back on, but we keep it just because she made that for us. It sits in my flower bed every year.
I gave him a good cleaning and noticed that I couldn’t leave the poor thing with the ears all cracked. I added some spackle to the broken parts to mend the cracks. I let that dry and sanded it to smooth up a bit. It isn’t perfect but it looks a lot better.
You know there is not a project I do that doesn’t require painting. I couldn’t leave the rabbit like it was with spackled ears and all. I grabbed my white chalk paint and started to give him a makeover.
While that was drying I took my oval wicker basket to use as the base for my centerpiece. I placed faux greenery, grass and the painted rabbit in the basket. I added my DIY carrots for decorations.
Yesterday, I shared a DIY Dollar Tree craft making carrots out of a jump rope. If you missed that post you can go HERE and check out how I made those.
This is how the centerpiece turned out. What do you think? Don’t you just love the bunny white and look at those carrots?
The Place setting
Starting with a bare clean table.
I am going to use my white tablecloth. I pressed the tablecloth and placed it on my table.
I am going to use my bamboo plate chargers. I purchased the chargers at Kirkland’s several years ago.
I brought out my orange Dollar Tree plates that I purchased several years ago for a fall tablescape.
Placed the orange plates on the chargers.
For the napkins, I am using my green linen napkins. I folded the napkins on the orange plates wrapping down the top end under the plate.
Leaving the bottom end draped over.
Are you picturing a carrot?
I like to layer my plates. You have seen my monogram plates before I display them on my kitchen table every day and I have used them for my fall tablescape. If you haven’t seen that blog you can go HERE to take a look of that.
I am adding my green stemware and silverware to the table.
I wanted a little color in the center of the table to go beneath the centerpiece. I remembered that I had some pumpkin place mats.
I turned the stems of the pumpkins toward the center. Overlapping the pattern to make a circle mat.
Placing the centerpiece on top no one will know the center mat are pumpkins placemats, but us.
I made little filled planters pots and placed on top of each plate.
I filled the pots with some faux grass, eucalyptus twigs, a white chocolate bunny I tied a little bow around his neck and two foiled wrapped chocolate carrots. I hot glued a ribbon around the pot to decorate it.
Taking a look again at the place setting, I have the bamboo charger, orange dinner plate, green linen napkin, white monogram salad plate and the decorated candy filled planter pot. Also, I placed silverware and a green stemware.
I think the white ceramic bunny and the DIY carrots along with the faux grass tucked into the wicker basket made a cute centerpiece.
It looks like spring at least on my table.
I placed a silver candle holder with a green candle behind the basket. You have to have candlelight.
The full table view.
I placed some wicker decor balls with some faux eucalyptus twigs scattered around the basket.
Take a look at the 4 mini buckets filled with faux grass and two mini DIY material carrots tucked inside.
The buckets were from Logan’s when we had a brownie dessert. That was so fun when the waitress brought out our dessert in this mini buckets. I had to keep them.
I love the orange and green color theme. It isn’t the basic color you would see on an Easter table, but I really like how it turned out and love the carrot theme.
I am so happy that you came over and watched me set my Easter table. Easter morning I will add one more place setting to the table since there will be 5 of us for dinner. I hope I inspired you to decorate your table for your Easter meal.
As you can see. I took items around my home and made a cute tablescape to share with my family. You don’t have to go out and get all new items. Work with what you have. You just never know what you can create.
Wishing you and you family a happy and blessed Easter!

Decorating our home on a budget is my thrill. I think a home can look beautiful without breaking the bank. Your home should bring the best out of you and make you feel happy. You should smile every time you enter your home. 🙂
