Welcome back to my home! Today I created an affordable tablescape and guess what? It is all purchased from the Dollar Tree. I want to share with you how you can have a beautiful table on a budget.
I am joining in with 3 blogging friends to create a Christmas tablescape using items from the Dollar Tree. Below I will list my friends links for you to go visit their tables. It will be fun to see all the ways you could make a Holiday table on a budget.
As always I will start with a bare table. I will show you just how easy it is to set a table from the beginning.

Let’s get started!
I am starting with two table runners. Dollar Tree has several colors. Since my kitchen is copper and gold I chose the golden color.
I placed the runners on the table going across each place setting.
Next I purchased a new charger plate that Dollar Tree just started carrying. I love the looks of this charger. It is more sturdy than the normal chargers you find.
I grabbed my dinner and salad plate I purchased last year for my Christmas tablescape. You can go {{HERE}} to view my 2017 Christmas Tablescape.
I haven’t seen Dollar Tree carry linen napkins in a long time so I created some by purchasing placemats that coordinates with the table runner.
I purchased two placemats to match the runners.
I took the placemats apart at the seams. Now I have 4 pieces, I stitched up the edges.
I tri-folded them and placed the napkins on each salad plate.
I purchased a roll of Christmas greenery garland and cut 4 pieces to make a mini wreath shape.
I wrapped it twice around.
I spotted these beautiful snowflake tealight holders. I placed them each in the center of the wreath.
I love how they look.
You could add a tealight candle or a battery operated candle.
I added my DIY Dollar Tree Tier Tray to the center of the table. If you missed the tutorial on how I made the tray you can go {{HERE}}.
Added my 4 green stem glassware to each place setting.
I grabbed a bunch of little odds and ends to place in my tray.
I used the left over greenery, ornaments, gold mini Christmas tree, two copper gift boxes and a believe ornament. I also found two little gold reindeer. I decided to paint them copper to stay with my color scheme.
Added my items to the tray.
Here is my Dollar Tree Christmas Tablescape.
When I spotted the copper gift boxes I had to pick them up.
The Believe ornament had a red bow which I changed to a ribbon that Dollar Tree had to match my colors.
Here are all the items I used on my table.
- 2 table runners
- 2 placemats
- 4 antique gold chargers
- 4 each dinner plates and salad plates
