Let’s get started!
MY HOME’S VALENTINE’S DECOR
The Living room
Let’s take a look at my Valentine’s decorations on my fireplace. It is all “PINKED” out. Christmas was red and this holiday is pink. What will Easter be? HMMMM!
A closer look on the decorations on my mantel.
On the hearth I made this pom-pom wreath. I made it just like the pom-poms in the garland and added some pink small pom-poms to it. If you haven’t seen how I made my garland you can go HERE. I placed the wreath in my wire basket along with a pink pillow and a pink and white buffalo print throw.
On the other side of the hearth I made this XOX sign. On the side of the sign I placed a candle holder with a topiary ball.
Here is a slideshow of all of the DIY crafts used on my fireplace. You can go HERE to see how I made them all. (Besides the XOX and pom-pom wreath I did not post how I made those).
One more look at the Valentine’s fireplace!
The Kitchen
I typically decorate this room during all holiday’s. I just add touches here and there.
I never realized just how tricky it is to decorate a tier tray. I am learning so be patient with me. I am not there yet as you can see!
To give this setting a little pink I made the flower topiary to place on the candle stick. I made the little heart picture placed in the frame. On the drip tray I sat a heart coffee mug.
On my towel ring I placed two Valentine’s dish towels, I used a heart box with some doilies for my faux grass and added hand soap with a pink label to the tray.
Table Area
I added some LOVE to my mirror and shelf. I placed some fresh flowers to the bench and a heart pillow to the chair. That seem to be just the right love for that corner.
I also added some LOVE touches to my hutch.
My Valentine’s Tablescape
I love creating a holiday tablescape.
The faux rose bush was the inspiration for this theme. I placed the rose in a garden container. Took my small pitcher from the china hutch not realizing they both match perfectly. I placed the little bird votive with the two on a tray. That completed my centerpiece.
Take a look at my DIY cloche. Isn’t she precious with the mini cupcake tucked inside? You can go HERE to see how I made the cloche.
The place setting – I used my whitewashed wicker mat, pink charger (I spray painted), white with a gold trim dinner plate and a pink salad plaid plate. I put my cupcake pedestals in the center and added my DIY cloche on top.
The napkins – I added a DIY pink trim napkin with my regular white linen napkin folded both and placed in a gold napkin ring.
I placed a wire pink cord heart next to the napkin.
That’s my Valentine’s tablescape this year. So pretty and pink. I know you heard me say this before, but I just love my painted kitchen furniture!

Decorating our home on a budget is my thrill. I think a home can look beautiful without breaking the bank. Your home should bring the best out of you and make you feel happy. You should smile every time you enter your home. 🙂
