Happy Thanksgiving my friend!
It’s time for another monthly Creative Craft hop, this month we have a small crafter’s group, but still some great crafts to share with you. A special thanks to Sara, Birdz of a Feather for hosting the craft hop. At the bottom of my page, I will share each participant’s link to their craft.

Today, I am working on two candle holders my daughter purchased in Kirkland’s many years ago, she no longer wanted them so I kept them. It’s time to bring them down from the attic and give them some Christmas love.
Supplies I had on hand to add to the Kirkland’s candle holder:
- piece of garland
- flocked pick
- a single berry pick
- ribbon
- candle
How to add Christmas to a Candle Holder
I took a piece of garland, making sure it was long enough to go from the top of the candleholder to the bottom. I attached the garland to the candle holder by wrapping the branches to the top and bottom part of the candle holder.
Like everything else, it’s time to fluff! I always say, FLUFFY IS EVERYTHING!!
Like night and day!
I added flock greenery and a piece of berry pick to enhance the garland. I cut the twigs off the bundle and placed them inside the garland on the candle holder.
Adding a shoe string bow to the top of the candle holder leaving the tails of the bow long to hang down the candle holder.
To finish, I added a red with gold swirl candle to the glass candle holder.
I did the same thing to the shorter candle holder.
Thanks for stopping by while I make decorations for my fireplace hearth. I am so happy with how these turned out, so easy too! I will be showing you how I styled the fireplace next week.
Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving!!

Very cute Terrie! I love the addition of the flocked branches and the long flowing ribbons!
Thank you so much Jenna, I love a little bit of flocking but too much can be a bit messy. 🙂
I love how you dressed-up these candle holders so easily, Terrie. Very pretty!
Thank you so much Ann.
Beautiful project Terrie. I don’t blame you for keeping them and the accents you added are so pretty for the holidays. Enjoy them for many more years.
Thank you Donna. Happy Holiday to you and your family.
I love these festive candle stands, Terrie! A little greenery and ribbon makes all the difference! Happy Thanksgiving!
Thanks Cecilia, I do too. Happy Holiday to you Cecilia.
I was thinking the same thing as Sara, Terrie! You created very lovely candleholders anyone would be gracious to have! Your family are probably gleefully amazed at everything you design and create! I know I would be! Great upcycle!
Awe thank you Gail. I do love how they look on my hearth. Happy Holiday to you!
I suspect your daughter may regret her decision to let these candle holders go after seeing what you did with them Terrie! Gorgeous! Have a Happy Thanksgiving.
I would if I were her, but once she gets rid of something she doesn’t look back. 🙂 She was going to sell them in a yard sale, I grabbed them up and said oh no you’re not! Then they stayed up in the attic for years. 🙁 Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family Sara, thanks for hosting this fun hop!
