Do you have a room in your house that becomes the catchall room or the dumping ground for everything that you don’t have a dedicated spot for?
In my house, it’s my craft room, although in the above photo it looks clean and pretty. If you look deeper into the drawers, closet and bins you would see exactly what I am talking about.
Well, it’s time for me to get into the craft room, declutter, organize and afterwards give the space a little refresh.
Craft Room Refresh – Show and Tell
If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you know, I gave the kitchen nook and laundry room a refresh …

I am loving the new color palette in both rooms, it has me wanting to continue the palette into the craft room.
When starting the many cleanings task, I break down each space and tackle one space at a time.
This being said let’s look at the spaces I need to clean and organized.
-
The supply closet
-
The ribbon drawers
-
The paint station
-
The sewing desk drawers
-
The candle storage cabinet
-
The Cricut station
Whew, this is going to take me a while, let’s take a look at the mood board I created for the craft room’s new look.
The Craft Room – Color Palette

Focal Wall
I am going to wallpaper one wall with a bold print. I was happy to find this peel and stick wallpaper, Tulip Garden Floral because I have seen this done in people’s homes and I’m thrilled to be applying it in mine. I found my paper on Amazon but Target has the same pattern. The two places had it priced the same, so for my convenience, I ordered two rolls from Amazon.
The other three walls I will be freshening up with Sherwin Williams Natural Linen in a satin sheen.
For the accent color, as you know, will be blue. I think a little softer color blue will be a nice shade for the new look I’m going for.
For the white furniture I will be doing the same technique as the master bedroom furniture and the laundry room cabinets with the exception of my workstation, I will be painting the base black and the top in wood stain color.
To each station I will clean and organize along with giving it a fresh new look, of course, I will bring you along!
I am looking forward in getting this refresh started, first project is clearing out, purging and organizing. This task won’t be fun!
I hope you follow along each Friday until I finish the craft room, I will also have video shares regarding this refresh on my Facebook page and my YouTube channel, make sure you go check them out as we go along to keep you up to date with the progress.

Stay strong and God bless! ♥
Decorating our home on a budget is my thrill. I think a home can look beautiful without breaking the bank. Your home should bring the best out of you and make you feel happy. You should smile every time you enter your home. 🙂
Good luck with purging and cleaning
