Don’t you love the look of a topiary in a cute planter? I decided to take my three little pots and greenery orbs I have had on our back porch and make cute topiaries in a faux dotted terracotta planter.

Here is the inspirational planter I am aiming to create . I have been crushing on this Dotted Terracotta Planter from McGee & Co for a long while, but for the price I couldn’t see placing it out on the porch.
How To Create A Faux Dotted Terracotta Planter
I took some Dollar General pearl gem stickers, my mini planters along with some E6000 glue and white spray paint and create my own version of it.
Starting with clean planters, I measured and made dots with a sharpie on the planters where I wanted to place a gem.
After I placed all the marks on the pots, I placed a dots of E6000 to the marks and applied the pearl gems.
Each planter took 25 pearl gems, the package came with 27 pearl gems.
Next, I gave the planters 2 coats of spray paint, with Rust-oleum high glass white. Let them dry.
How To Make A Faux Boxwood Topiary
To give the planter some weight I added a couple of rocks to the bottom of each planter.
I added some hot glued on top of the rocks and placed floral form into the planters.
I carved a small hole in each of the greenery orbs with my craft knife.
For the stems of my topiaries I gathered 3 straight sticks from our yard.
Applied E6000 to the end of the sticks and attached it to the carved holes of the orbs.
I added E6000 to each end of the stick and placed them into the floral form.
To finish, I added Spanish moss to the top of the pot to hide the floral foam.
Having my faux dotted planters on the back porch are a safe option, if the wind knocks them over I won’t be too disappointed.

Stay strong and God bless! ♥
Decorating our home on a budget is my thrill. I think a home can look beautiful without breaking the bank. Your home should bring the best out of you and make you feel happy. You should smile every time you enter your home. 🙂
these are adorable…..at a quick glance I thought maybe the pots were hobnail!
They do look like that too Patti. Thanks for stopping by. Happy weekend!
Your creativity amazes me as always Terrie!!!! Love this one!
Awe thanks Lauren. So happy you stopped by. I really like how they look on our back porch.
Very cute and I love a topiary. Clever to glue the glass beads on and paint them.
Thanks Cindy. I figured if I didn’t use the E6000 the sticky part of the sticker would wear down.
