Trying to find wall art in the laundry room without a cost is something I needed to do for the laundry room. I searched the web and found a set of wall art I loved so I went to work making them for my laundry room wall for $0. I had everything in my craft closet. AND yes I am going to share how you can make a set.

With all the painting we do around our home and our daughter’s home we have tons of paint stir sticks. I grabbed 8 I had in my craft closet, a utility knife, stain, and print outs I found online. I did gather 4 picture rings and some tacky glue. Let’s get started.
I searched online for the pictures I wanted to use. I saved the picture to my computer and printed them off as an 8 x 10 page. I used vinyl photo paper.
Right click on the picture and saved to your computer.
Next, I wanted to make a wood frame since I didn’t have 4 frames the same up in my attic. I took my paint sticks and cut the handle part off with my utility knife.
Sanding the ends to a rounded edge.
I used Walnut wood stain and stained the front and back of my sticks.
Now I am ready to put the pieces all together with some tacky glue.
I applied the tacky glue with a brush on the back side (with the writing on it) of the sticks.
I placing the ends of the pages on to the glued sticks evenly.
I did the step to all 4 of my print outs. OOPS, I took the picture with the wash picture upside down. 🙂
To hang them on the wall, I added a picture ring to the back top center.
The picture ring has two little spikes to bite into the wood. I used a hammer and tapped it onto the back of my paint stir stick.
Placed them on my laundry room wall. Come back on Wednesday where I share the laundry room’s reveal. 🙂
I had all the supplies to make this wall art. If you do not, you can find the supplies below. I also shared a link on Amazon where you can buy the prints already for you.

Decorating our home on a budget is my thrill. I think a home can look beautiful without breaking the bank. Your home should bring the best out of you and make you feel happy. You should smile every time you enter your home. 🙂
These signs are adorable! You are so creative for thinking of paint sticks to hold the prints! I love this project!
Aren’t they so cute? I am so happy how the sticks looks stained. Pretty inexpensive. Thank you Maria.
Oh my word!! So simple but yet so effective .. I love them!
Teresa
I know right? I have seen them with pricing running all different dollar amounts. This was such a cute project for the laundry room. You could do the same with any prints. Thanks for stopping by Teresa.
These are so cute!! Perfect for the laundry room.
so easy to make too. I am sure you are like me and have paint stir sticks all over the place. 🙂 I love how they look like a frame piece. Who would of thought.
Oh my goodness! These are adorable! Nice work Terrie!
Thanks Jodi. Didn’t know what I would use those paint sticks I collected. So happy they worked.
Cute and creative idea. I’m obsessed with paint sticks so I would have had to find another method. Obsession with paint is a bit nuts I know
Cindy
Cindy I understand. When I paint I wash the stick we are using until it falls apart. ha!
Love the graphics! Wooden pant hangers would also work for the top of the artwork and would add to the laundry theme.
I actually did those first but didn’t like how they looked so I thought about doing a top and bottom with wood. Like this look better for my wall. Thanks girl.
Looks amazing!! You are so creative! Such a great idea to use paint stir sticks! And, the prints are darling!

Oh my goodness, Terrie!! I absolutely LOVE your new wall art!! What a genius idea to use those paint sticks a a frame!! Can’t wait to see the final reveal!!
Thank you so much Christine. I really wanted them to be framed but didn’t have the frames nor the right size wood to work. When I saw the paint sticks I thought why not. I am so happy how they turn out. Can’t wait to share the reveal with you.
