Patriotic Star Door Hanger Tutorial
I had three of Dollar Tree’s wooden star plaques and some red, white and blue ribbon along with some paint to make a cute door hanger.
Step One
Drill a hole to the bottom of two of the Dollar Tree stars.
Step Two
Remove the twine from all three stars.
Step Three
Take one of the two stars with two drilled holes. Paint it blue, front, back and sides.
Step Four
Paint the other two stars white, (one with only one hole and the other with two holes).
Let all the stars dry.
Step Five
With a star stencil add stars to the front of the blue star.
Step Six
With painter’s tape make stripes to both white stars.
Paint over the star with white paint to seal the edges of the tape.
When the white paint dries, paint two coats of red paint.
Before the paint dries pull the tape slowly off of the star.
Let all the stars dry.
Step Seven
Connect the three stars with twine.
Tie the blue star with the white and red striped star with the two drilled holes with twine. Tie the two stiped stars together.
Step Eight
Add a pretty bow to the top of the hanger.
Enjoy your door hanger this coming Patriotic holidays.
