It’s time for the Creative Craft blog hop!! Sara, Birdz of a Feather is our host and does a great job rounding up some awesome crafters each month. I will share each creator’s craft at the bottom of my page.
If you are coming from Cecilia My Thrift Store Addiction blog, thanks for stopping by!
Last month I shared my first Easter craft for the year, this month I am sharing another Easter craft.
I grabbed an empty frame I had on hand and cut a piece of underlayment to fit the frame. The Jumping Bunny Silhouette I found on Clipart, free download. Enlarged it to fit my board. Now I gathered my material, it’s time to start the project.
DIY BUNNY WALL PLAGUE
Chose the color to paint your board. I am painting mine with Rachel Pink by Sherwin Williams.
Painted 3 coats to the board, let dry.
Centered the Bunny Silhouette on to the painted board.
Trace out your silhouette on to the board.
Instead of paint I gave my bunny a rough texture using Roll-on Texture applying it with a chip brush.
To create a rough surface, I tapped the texture with a chip brush to fill in the bunny’s body.
While the texture was drying, I created a Happy Easter stencil with my Cricut.
To prevent bleeding, paint the wording with the board paint, let dry, then stenciled with the roll-on textured.
Removed the stencil.
After the textured dried, apply one coat of Semi-gloss Polyurethane to the entire board.
To the neck of the bunny, make a basic bow and glued it to the bunny’s neck.
Adding a furry tail, glue a FAUX FUR RIBBON to the bunny’s tail.
That’s it. Isn’t it cute?
Up next Gail, Purple Hues and Me I can’t wait to see what she has for us! Then check out the rest of the crafters and their crafts.

Your bunny decor is so pretty! The roll-on texture really adds a unique look to your Easter plaque. That’s a new product to me and that was an excellent idea using it to add dimension to your bunny. Cute little tail, too.
Thanks Allyson. I really like all the texture of the bunny frame. I can’t wait to hang it up this Easter season.
Terrie this is fabulous. I had something similar planned if I have the time. I love the pink backdrop its so adorable for the bedroom.
Terrie, it’s so nice to see one of your cute projects. Your framed bunny pciture will be a sweet additio to any Easter scene.
Thanks Carol, I believe it will look very nice in our Easter home this year.
I love this Terrie. It makes me want to start pulling out all of my Easter and Spring items right this minute. So cute and – as always- what a fantastic job!
I know Tammy, I am holding myself off getting my Easter out. Need more time to plan and a little less mess right now. ha! Thanks Tammy.
Terrie, I love your textured upcycle–it turned out so cute! I’m a former teacher and it reminds me of the old children’s book “Pat the Bunny” that featured different textures.
Pinned! Blessings, Cecilia @My Thrift Store Addiction
Thanks Cecilia. How fun about the Pat the Bunny. I will have to look for the book, our granddaughter loves reading.
What an adorable three dimensional bunny frame, Terri! How chic it is just by adding the furry ribbon and bow! Very cool!
Thanks Gail. He is so adorable.
