Welcome to Decorate and More with Tip. If you are new to my blog, so glad you stopped by I am so happy you are here. I love sharing tips and ideas on how you can decorate on a budget. Today the blog hop is all about finding inspiration on staying busy while we are at home isolated. I will list all of the other girl’s blog at the bottom of my page.

For my little stay at home craft, it’s taking some twigs from our Crepe Myrtle making a pretty frame with them. You could use any type of branches to get your twigs from, removing the leaves, we want bare sticks. I tried to find straight small branches as I could.
- eight – 12″ branch
- one thicker than the 8 branches
- several small pieces of the branch with several nodes
- hot glue
- garden scissors
- paint
- flowers and greenery (optional)
Remove all the nodes from your branches and save them.
Cut 8 straight 12″ pieces from your branch. Keep the small branch pieces we will use those pieces later.
You will need one thicker 12 inch branch in addition to the 8 branches.
Now I have the cut branches and nodes, now I will show you how to make this cute frame.
Take 4 of the twelve inch branches and form a frame. Overlapping the ends of the branches. Hot glue the corners together.
Take the other 4 twelve inch pieces and place inside the frame about 1 ½ inches from the outer frame. Hot glue the inner frame to the outer frame to making a double frame.
Hot glue the nodes to the center of the two frames. Making the frame look like spider webs.
Choosing one end as the bottom. Cut all the longer nodes evenly.
To stand the frame up for display I took the thicker branch and cut three 4 inch pieces. Using 3 left over branch pieces to create an easel for the frame.
I glued one 4 inch piece and one smaller piece to the bottom of my frame. Shown below.
It works perfectly and you have a hallow center with no distractions.
Painting my frame with white Waverly chalk paint giving it two coats.
I grabbed some faux flowers and greenery to add to one corner of my frame.
I took some scrap wood and made a little sign to sit with my frame. I painted my sign white, I used my cricut to print out the saying and free handed the designs.
This would be a great gift to give for Mother’s Day.
