It’s time to share how I refreshed the kitchen hutch. The hutch has been bare since Easter, so it’s time to decorate it.
Top Shelf
Since my top shelf has more room than the other two, I knew I wanted to add a large vase, so I grabbed a ginger jar I purchased years ago, but never found a home for it. It was not the right color, so I gave it a coat of paint. Perfect!
Giving the shelf texture by standing up a white tray and adding a planter of greenery. Centering the three pieces to form the focal point of the hutch.
Second Shelf
Bringing in color by placing my light blue dishes.
To carry down the pop of white, I place a small canvas.
To the other side, I added greenery and wood tones.
I added a dish towel for a pop of color to the wooden bowls.
Bottom Shelf
To the bottom of my hutch, I kept the color and pattern of the two top shelves in mind.
Inside the tray I added greenery, wood tones and color.
To the other side of the tray, I added pops of white with more dishes.
One thing I kept in mind when decorating the hutch, how I place color and texture opposite from shelf to shelf.
Most of the items I used have been with me for several years, therefore I cannot link them up for you. My hopes are not using the same items I use, but to give you inspiration for placement. Use your favorite dishes, plants and trays for your hutch or kitchen shelving!
I’m so glad you dropped by, and if you are new to my blog, welcome! I hope you enjoyed your visit here in our kitchen.
