Your laundry room may be one of the last places you think of when it comes to home decor.  However, laundry rooms have come a long way through the years.  While a laundry room refresh might not make folding your clothes any easier, it can certainly make your time spent in your laundry room more pleasant.

Here are a few home decor pieces I purchased new or had already on hand.

Laundry Room Decor Haul

1. Chesapeake Twain Plaid Wallpaper, Dove

When it came to picking out the pattern for the wallpaper, I kept in mind that lighter colors and smaller patterns can help open up the space.  Since I have wallpapered, it does exactly what I wanted it to do.

I also kept in mind how I wanted the guest bath and laundry room to blend nicely together.

3. Jinchan Linen Curtain  Gray Floral Print Valance

source: Amazon

Another tough job was choosing the valance for the window in the door.  I wanted something that complimented the twain wallpaper and the NuWallpaper Breezy Peel & Stick Wallpaper in the half bathroom.

I love the pattern and design of the valance; it mimics the wallpaper in the bathroom, don’t you think?  It does bring a little pattern into the room as well.

4. Honey-Can-Do Wall-Mounted Swivel Clothes Drying Rack DRY-Natural

Let me tell you this, a girl can change her mind over and over again! I just couldn’t make up my mind, do I like the window frame or not????  I finally realized it wasn’t the look I wanted for the space, so I took down the window frame and purchased a wall drying rack in its place.  I am glad I went with a drying rack!

5. KBKBART Countryside Autumn Wildflower Field Landscape Framed Canvas

Not sure you can tell in this photo, but it resembles an oil painting.  It looks like a high-end piece, this piece gets a 5-star review from me!  I purchased a 12 x 16, which is perfect size for my shelf in the laundry room.  This will be the star of the room!

The frame comes in various sizes and prints.  I want to tell you, the price rocks, y’all!

6. Collections-Etc Large Hanging Metal Safety Pins Wall Plaques

The safety pins gives the room a pop of fun.   I did change the original color of the pins by spray painting them with flat black paint.  They would also look great painted any color, honestly.

7. Wicker Shelf/Storage Baskets with Lid

This basket is handwoven and is a perfect size to store dryer sheets, dryer balls or even clothes pins.  It is light weight but not too flimsy.  The elastic band and button keep the lid securely closed for storing purposes.

8. BFWood Laundry Stain and Scrubbing Brush, Natural Soft Boar Bristles

I haven’t used this brush yet, I normally use a soft bristle toothbrush for stubborn stains or cleaning our tennis shoes.  It is a good size brush for any of your laundry needs, it has a curvature handle that fits well in your hand and a leather rope to hang for drying.

9. Wool Dryer Balls, Grey/Gray XL Pack of 6

I use dryer balls all the time in my dryer, do you?  The dryer balls I found on Amazon came 6 to the bag, it’s a cute bag too.  Anyway, I have used both wool and plastic balls, by far the wool is the best in my opinion.

These are just a few items I’ll be styling in the laundry room; I hope you come back to see how I decorate the laundry room.  Next Friday, we will be back to the projects and sharing it all here.  Stay tuned …. for now, jump over to see what laundry decor Tammy will be styling in her room.

  1. I LOVE that drying rack!!!! I can’t wait to see what the entire room looks like all put together. I’ve wanted those safety pins forever. Let me know how the dryer balls work. I’ve had some in the past and wasn’t that impressed. Maybe it was the brand I bought. Thanks for sharing all of your wonderful finds.
