I was searching for a craft to create; I came to a craft recipe that intrigued me to do. So, instead of being in the craft room sharing a creative idea, I am in the kitchen sharing a creative way to serve your Thanksgiving dinner rolls!
I have to admit, I like to show off a little of my creativity in the kitchen as well. In our family, we are bread eaters, we make sure we serve some type of rolls with our dinners; Thanksgiving is no exception. Here is a simple but yet festive way to serve warm biscuits.
The only thing you need is a can of your favorite biscuits, rolling pin and a toothpick.
Step One
- Pop open your can of biscuits.
Step Two
- Roll out one biscuit evenly into a thinner circular shape.
Step Three
- With a knife, cut in the center across and down, creating 4 equal size pieces.
Step Four
- Fold over the larger end, leaving the top point uncovered.
- Fold over the other three pieces.
Step Five
- Stack all 4 together, keeping the folds going the same direction.
Step Six
- With the toothpick, push down all the points of the pieces.
Step Seven
- Keeping pressure on the toothpick, with your other hand, pinch the ends of the top piece to form the tip of a leaf.
- Bring up each edge to the top, pinching it together.
Step Eight
- Place on a cooking sheet. Bake as instructed on the biscuit’s directions.
That’s it! Wouldn’t this be a great conversation while enjoying your dinner? I did a trail run with our dinner, I still need to practice making them perfect, but I thought it was a neat idea.
