Welcome back to this week’s Decorate with Us | Christmas Season 2024, we are in the kitchen decorating it for Christmas! Each day we will be decorating a space, since it is a room that has several areas to decorate, we are breaking it down. Joining me, as always, Tammy Patina and Paint and Teresa Through a Vintage Door. I will have their links at the end of my post.
Before I get into today’s decorate with me, I wanted to share my color theme for the kitchen. Above is my inspirational mood board. Since I don’t have much of the nutcracker theme I am going to use the color of the inspirational nutcracker.
Today in my kitchen, I am decorating my Hobby Lobby 4-Tier Shelf. I cleared everything off of the trays, removed the third tray completely off the shelf. I also removed the wreath from my Home Wall plaque.
I will tell you a little later why I removed the tray from the shelving unit.
I love to decorate this piece for seasons and holidays, as the time goes by it’s getting harder to find new ways to style it differently. Until I watched Rebecca Robeson’s Christmas Entryway’s video. She stacked two lanterns on top of each other to create a beautiful display. That gave me the idea of how I want my shelf to look.
I gathered these supplies to create a beautiful garland for my shelf unit.
- Christmas garland with pinecones
- flocked Christmas greenery bush
- flocked pine, evergreen and branch picks
- ornaments (color of your choice)
- frosted berry pick
- frosted bronze leaf pick
- flocked pinecones
- fairy lights
Step one:
Fluff your garland.
Step two:
Attach each end to the unit creating a diagonal look.
Step three:
Separate your picks into multiple pieces, attach to the garland.
Step four:
Add the ornaments and lights.
Final step:
Decorate the unit.

To the very top I add a poinsettia bow. To find the tutorial click here EASY POINSETTIA BOW TUTORIAL.
I added a few picks to a premade arrangement to place on the first tray.
Second tray:
I placed two mercury glass, crystal Christmas trees.
For the last tray I place a tall mercury candleholder with a cake candle.
I love how the garland makes this shelf unit look elegant. What do you think?
I took a small piece of garland and a few more picks and made a matching wreath for my home wall plaque.
I have a video for you to watch of me decorating my kitchen corner.
