This holiday weekend I thought I would be putting away the Christmas decorations, but my son had a different thought. Todd loves his St. Louis Cardinals, so one year when I spotted the team’s Christmas ornaments I went, should I say went overboard? You betcha! He had his tree sitting out for me to decorate for him. 🙂
On today’s blog I will be sharing his tree!
Let’s get started decorating his sport themed tree.
He has a 6 ft multi color lite tree. I fluffed the tree and added another 100 strands of lights to make it brighter.
I always start with my topper. We purchased red, white and navy picks from Wal-mart. I added the picks to the top of the tree.
I am using three different sizes of ribbon. First ribbon is the thicker of the three. I cut about 8 ft strips and tucked into the tree every 12 inches or so.
The second ribbon I am using is a thin red ribbon, I am making a curly long strip placing an end at the top letting it drop downward.
The last of the three ribbon is a thinner navy one. I spun it right off the spool and let it lay as it came off.
Adding ornaments.
After having the ornaments on I decided that the top needed something.
I decided to add a mini bat he had laying around in his office. I wired it to the top and added a red bow. I think that topped the tree. Don’t you think?
Here is my son’s 2018 Christmas tree.
With the lights on.
Thank you again! Stay strong and stay blessed!

Decorating our home on a budget is my thrill. I think a home can look beautiful without breaking the bank. Your home should bring the best out of you and make you feel happy. You should smile every time you enter your home. 🙂
Oh my goodness, Terrie! You knocked this one out of the park! (Get it?) Clearly it isn’t for everyone but for those sports fans out there what an awesome tree! How great would it be to do a sports themed tree in a man’s office or man-cave? Or some other sort of masculine decor? Now I wish hubby had a man-cave so I could decorate it for Christmas! lol
You are too funny Tara! Yes….I hit a home run with my son. He loves his baseball tree. We will have to work on another challenge soon! Thanks for stopping over!
