WRAPPING GIFTS WITH SHRINK WRAP

Hello Friends!  I hope this finds you having a great Monday and that you had an awesome weekend!  My weekend was jammed pack full of fun.  We had a Christmas gathering every night.  Just had a wonderful time this weekend.

Saturday evening we had couples over for dinner.  My husband and I are in a group that gets together for dinner once a month.  We take turns hosting at each other’s homes.  It was our month to host.  It was such a great time.  Love our sweet friends!  The reason I am telling you about us being in a group pertains to my blog today.  Today I want to share with you how I wrapped our sweet friend’s gifts.  Now that the night is over, I think it is safe to share with you what their gifts were.

First let me show you their gifts and then I will show you how I put the gifts all together.

I don’t know what you think, but I think they turned out really cute.

Here is what I gathered to wrap these three gifts.

Crazy right?  Let me just show you one gift and each item I used step by step.

I found these cute little monogram cheese trays at Kirkland’s.  I took the twine and tag off of them.  I kept the items to the side to use later.

I attached with tape to the tray a box of turtles and a cute little wine stopper.  The snowflake is a battery operated LED light.  I found those at a place called Tuesday Mornings.

It looked a little plain to me so I wanted to add just a little color.

I re-purpose a few things, because you know me….I don’t like to throw anything away.

Remember friends (you that follow me on my Facebook page) the bow ornaments from The Dollar Tree I used for my DIY snowman globe?  (If you want to see how I made the snowman globe you can go HERE.  I have a closed group (request to be my friend and I will add you to this group) on my page that I shared several little DIY for Christmas).  I took one of the bows apart keeping the wire and greenery.  I didn’t want to use the ribbon it came with so I made my own.

I added some crinkled paper to each side of the handles and hot glued the bow to the wine stopper package.

I used a shrink wrap bag, but not the way it was meant to be used.  I did not want it to be placed in a bag.  I purchased the shrink wrap at The Dollar Tree and cut the bag in half.  I can now use the one bag for two gifts.  Here is how I wrapped the gift with shrink wrap.

Now I took the tag that came off the cheese board and removed the string.  I set it to the side.

I made a monogram tag to place on the package.  This is how I did that.

I sat that aside.   I wrapped twine around the package.  Just wrapping it around the left side of the package.

The string on the tag was a little too long so I tied it shorter and cut off the excess.  I took the twine on the package and thread it through the tag string.

I grabbed the rope twine that came with the cheese tray, a piece of ribbon and a piece of floral wire.

I took an old piece of a pick that I used all the embellishments for another DIY and another one of the Dollar Tree bow ornament and finished the bow of the package.

Here it is all finished.

I hope they enjoyed the gift as much as I did putting them together.

As always follow me on Instagram and Facebook.  And jump over on Pinterest and see what all I pin.

I want to thank you for stopping by today to watch me put my gifts together for our friends.  I hope you come back here on Wednesday.  Until next blog I hope you have a great day!

Stay strong and stay blessed!

Terrie
