LOGANBERRY PATTERNED DISHCLOTH

All right friends, it’s time again for another Under $10 on the 10th blog hop, hosted by my friend Tammy Patina and Paint. I always look forward to seeing the inspiration that everyone has to share each month!  This month theme is Crafts, we have 6 bloggers sharing some crafts for under $10.  I will have all the girl’s blog link listed at the bottom of my page.

For my craft I am sharing my favorite knitted dishcloth pattern using Dollar Tree’s Just Cotton yarn.

I started knitting when my dear friend taught me how to knit dishcloths when I was recovering from surgery.  Since then, I have knitted different dishcloths, as a result I have several in my drawer today!
I love the looks of the Loganberry dishcloth because of the bubble texture pattern.  Not only does it look pretty, but it works for removing hard stuck food on your dishes.
It’s a 4-row repeat, which involves using a knit and purl stitch.  I wouldn’t say this pattern would be beginner friendly, but once you master it gets easier.

Knitted Loganberry Dishcloth Pattern

What you’ll need:

  • A pair of knitting needles – I used size 9
  • Your favorite 100% cotton yarn – Peaches and Cream – Just Cotton (Dollar Tree)

Instructions:

  • Cast on 42 stitches

  • Knit 2 rows

Loganberry 4- row repeat pattern

  1. Row 1 – (right side) Knit 2, Purl to the last 2 stitches, Knit 2
  2. Row 2 – (wrong side) Knit 3, *in the 4th stitch (Knit 1-Purl 1-Knit 1) all in one stitch, the next 3 stitches Purl all in one stitch* repeat the two patterns to the last 3 stitches, Knit 3
  3. Row 3 – Knit 2, Purl to the last 2 stitches, Knit 2
  4. Row 4 – Knit 3, * the next 3 stitches Purl all in one stitch, next stitch (Knit 1-Purl 1-Knit 1) all in one stitch* repeat the two patterns to the last 3 stitches, Knit 3

  • Repeat the Loganberry pattern 8 more times

  • Knit 2 rows

  • Bind off

The Dollar Tree’s, Just Cotton yarn worked alright, however, I like the dishcloths knitted with Peaches and Cream yarn.  The Peaches and Cream runs around $2.00 and the Dollar Tree, Just Cotton runs $1.25.  Regardless which yarn you use it’s still a pretty pattern.
