Welcome back to this post I shared last year of my Christmas Prep with Me. Today, we will be focusing on bringing the Christmas decorations down so I can take inventory of things I want to use and what I need to revamp or give a makeover to.
I need to bring down my tubs from the attic, remove the frames I have tucked under a bed, bring out my holiday pillows and throws and take out the Christmas floral arrangements from the closet. The items above are the things I know I need to take inventory of incase I need to revamp or buy more of.
It is always best to gather your pieces together and take inventory of things you have before starting to decorate. I have a tub full of different styled garlands, I took inventory of them and placed them in one of the guest rooms until I am ready to decorate with them.
Next, was my wreath supply. We all love using wreaths during the holidays, using a wreath storage bag is a great way to store them. During my decorating I keep the bag up on a door hook, this allows me to grab a wreath I want to use easily.
While up in the attic I also grabbed my Christmas stem storage bag. This is no different than my Fall, Easter or everyday stem storage bags. I use a small Christmas tree bag to hold all seasonal stems in. It is a great way to keep your stems together.
I pulled them all out of the tote and divided them into groups, placing them in baskets. This helps to keep them organized and easy to grab when needing a certain stem.
Those are the only things I brought down from the attic, right now. I have many more tubs to bring down later. Now to my Christmas frames. I keep them all under a bed in one of our guest bedrooms. Not only is it a great space to keep them tucked away but it is a climate-controlled space which helps them to keep from being damage. It works for me; in the other guest bedroom I keep my Easter and Fall frames under the bed. Once I pull them out from under the bed, I place them where I can easily go through them to grab the frame I want to use.
I keep all my Christmas pillows and throws in storage bins in a guest closet. I pull them out to get ready to decide which ones will be use this season. I place them on the guest bed to have easy access to them.
Other items I pull from the closet, are my Christmas arrangements. I like to keep them on a shelf in my craft closet. Storing them on a shelf keeps them from being smashed in a tub or bag.
Well, it looks like I have my inventory complete, I have my list of things I want to get. Tomorrow I will be prepping the house for Christmas decorating. I hope you come back here tomorrow! Thanks for coming by today!
