I am sharing a Look for Less blog post today!  This is something I have wanted to do for a long time, so when Roses Discount Store reached out to me to collaborate with them, I jumped at the opportunity.

This will also be part of our Decorate with Us | Christmas Season 2023.  This week we will be in the Master bedroom decorating it for Christmas.  Today will be a different blog post from each of us regarding our decorations in the Master bedroom.  Like I normally do, I will have the girl’s links at the end of my page.

Look for Less – Collaboration with Roses

While looking for inspiration for my bedroom’s dressers decor I found this photo on Instagram created by Miss Jessica Nicole Blog.  What a perfect setting to recreate the look for less!

Shopping for the things I need in Roses Discount Store.  I know I will have to revamp or change a lot of the items I find, but to keep the cost budget friendly I am up for the challenge.

Here are the things I picked up in Roses to recreate Jessica’s vignette.

The Vase

Tall Terracotta Vase – Threshold™ designed with Studio McGee in my inspirational photo was from Target.

My Vase

This is a shorter vase than the inspirational vase, but it has a good shape to it.  I found this in Roses.  I took joint compound and paint to create the look similar to the Target’s vase.

It looks nothing like it did when I purchased it.  I am very happy with how it turned out.

Christmas arrangement

My Arrangement

To recreate the arrangement, I used a lighted branch bundle I had on hand.  In Roses I found a flocked Christmas tree, I want a flocked arrangement in my setting.

I cut the tree in 4 pieces to arranged as a spray, placed the lighted branches in the vase first than added the Christmas tree pieces.  I also added a pine and pinecones spray in the arrangement as well.

The Christmas Frame

I couldn’t find the exact frame in the inspirational photo; this Kirkland’s frame is similar.

My Frame

Using my thrift store makeover winter frame.  It is larger than the inspirational frame, but since my mirror is larger than the inspirational mirror the frame will work perfectly.

The Concrete Bowl

The fluted travertine bowls are going viral on social media.  I have always thought about buying one for myself.  Now I don’t have too!

My Bowl

Walking down the kitchen aisles in Roses, I spotted this plastic fluted bowl.  I knew I could recreate the bowl so easily.

I grabbed my joint compound, added several layers to the bowl in and out.  Sprinkled brown paint to create the look of the high-end bowl.

I think it turned out so good!

Bowl Filler

In the inspirational bowl, it is filled with 5 golden figs.

My Bowl Filler

Instead of the figs, I am using ornaments.

I painted 3 in grey and 3 in burgundy paint.  Sprinkled flour over the wet paint, let dry and then brushed off the flour.

Again, I love the look of ornaments made like these.

Christmas Trees

These two beaded cone trees are right now 50% off in Hobby Lobby.

My Christmas Tree

For my two trees I decided to make two Christmas twine cone trees myself.  I purchased twine and Elmer’s glue in Roses to make them.

I added some pieces of greenery and berries to embellish my trees.

Let’s see how well I did with the look for less.
