Hey there!! I hope y’all had an amazing Thanksgiving!!  We had a wonderful Thanksgiving, Mr. Tip and I went down to our son, Todd’s home along with our daughter, Kristin and her family.  We spent the whole Thanksgiving weekend together, we had such an amazing time with our family.  Even though Thanksgiving was different than years past, we enjoyed ourselves even more.  We didn’t rush our Thanksgiving dinner to look at the Black Friday’s sale ads nor did we rush off to the stores, we sat around the dinner table visiting and ended the evening watching a Hallmark Christmas movie.  Even Mr. Tip watched it with us. 🙂

Let’s view my blog on what I do with a clear ball ornament.

I have seen many different ways to create adorable ornaments using an inexpensive clear ball ornament, I am happy to be bringing you some of the cutest ones here on our DIY clear ornament challenge.  For my DIY ornament I am not taking all the credit, I had help creating mine from Miss Kehlani, we are going to make a special ornament to hang on our Christmas tree, you might just have a special someone to help you with yours!!

Supplies I used:

• clear plastic ornaments
• white, orange, black and brown craft paint
• Epsom salt
• super glue
• twine
• minwax polyurethane

We made 4 ornaments, one for myself and one to give Kehlani’s mommy, her GiGi and her Uncle Todd.

How to make a hand print snowmen ornament

I poured some white paint onto a plate, I pressed Kehlani’s hand into the paint and pressed it onto the ornament.

Didn’t she do an amazing job?  I placed them in a coffee cup while they dried.

Since her job was finished, she decided to play on the floor while I finished up with the snowmen.

I started adding details to the hand print, I painted on a carrot nose with orange paint.

After the nose I placed two dots for the eyes with black craft paint.

For the mouth I added 4 little dots in the shape of a smile.

Down each of her finger prints I added three dots to resemble buttons.

The last little details to the snowmen I made lines to create sticks for the arms with brown craft paint.

To remember this special time we created the ornament I wrote her name and year at the bottom of her hand print.

I took the ornaments apart and added 3 tablespoons of Epsom salt to one side. Since I wasn’t at home I didn’t have any of my supplies on hand, I would have added glitter in with the Epsom salt to have a glittery effect.

To secure the ornament together and from coming apart I added two dabs of hot glue to one of the ornament sides then connected the two parts together.

I brushed on Minwax poly to the painted side of the ornament to seal the design, let dry and added a piece of white twine for the hanger.

Ornaments like these are priceless.

We placed Uncle Todd’s on his tree.
