A SIMPLISTIC FALL PORCH

A simplistic fall porch can be achieved by focusing on a few key, seasonal elements such as a fall themed wreath, a doormat, and a few pumpkins.

Finding simple fall front porch ideas that look beautiful without feeling crowded or overwhelming can be a real challenge, especially if your porch is small like ours.

We want our porches to feel warm and inviting, but struggle on decorations that fits.  It’s easy to get frustrated when your porch has not room to add pretty mums or a stack of pumpkins.

Remember, it’s not about having the biggest porch on the block. It’s about layering details until your front door feels like a seasonal hug.

I started off with a clean porch.  I placed my DIY leaf wreath on the glass storm door with a suction cup hook.

When you have small porch, wreath can be perfect addition to your door. It not only adds touch of color and warmth but also serves as welcoming sign for visitors.

I made this wreath myself and shared it on my social media FACEBOOK page and my YOUTUBE channel.

I took 11 Dollar Tree Fall Leaf Bundles, painted them with a paint mixture I created with burnt umber, berry, and plum craft paint.

I added several different color and sizes of ribbon matching my fall color palette.

Next, I added wall decor with metal brick hooks.

If you’re looking to add a welcoming touch to your home’s entrance, porch signs are a wonderful way to showcase your personality and creativity. These pieces can greet your guest without taking up space.

I placed a seasonal doormat on the porch.

I think this doormat matches the ribbon I used in the wreath.

seasonal doormat adds festive touch to your entryway, especially during the fall season, and helps keep mud, leaves, and dirt outside where they belong.

The only space I could possibly decorate is the corner opposite of the door handle.  It’s a small space but it allows me to create an inviting area to greet our guest and give it a little seasonal touch.

Placing something tall first in the corner of your porch creates a focal point.  The height of the tall item draws attention to the corner, making it a standout feature of the porch.
I placed faux tall grass and some cattails in a vase.  One of my lanterns with an outdoor battery-operated candle.  I also added my DIY Pottery Barn jack-o-lantern.
And that completes the front porch.
It’s very simple but still captures the season and gives a warm welcoming to our guest.
