Welcome back to Fall 2023 Decorate with Me. We will be decorating another space in the kitchen. Tammy Patina and Paint will also be decorating a space in her kitchen as well. I will have her link at the bottom of my page.
After I decorated my Fall Hutch, I started on the other side of the room where the bench sits. I always start with a clean space. With this space, I removed everything to start with an empty slate.
Window Frame Decor
To place at the top of the frame I made a sign I made out of a piece of scrapped wood; I stained it and stenciled Hello Fall to one side.
To avoid using nails, I used zip ties to hang the sign to my window frame.
To finish the decorations of the window frame, I placed a hanging basket arrangement to the other side of my DIY sign. I posted a video on how I made the basket hanging on my social media.
Facebook Page or YouTube Channel.
I placed the hanging basket on one of the hooks and thread twine to the bottom of the basket and tied it around the frame of the window to keep the basket at a tilt.
The sign and basket made a nice decoration to the window frame, don’t you think?
Bench Decor
To decorate the bench, I am using another basket, sitting the basket in the center of the bench.
How to create a Fall basket arrangement
first stem
Dollar Tree Leaf bundle, I spread each stem out and placed it to the bottom of one side of the basket.
Second Stem
A two-tone grassy type of stem with small flower.
I divided the stem to form a whimsy bundle at each end.
Placing the stem on top of the leaf bundle.
Large Pumpkin
Using a large fake DIY terracotta pumpkin, I placed it in the center of the basket.
I leaned the pumpkin up on the bundles of the two stems.
Third Stem
A bundle of eucalyptus, this gives a different shape, color and texture to the arrangement.
Snipping the stems off, sticking them around the pumpkins and into the other two stems.
Forth Stem
More Dollar Tree leaves, filling in the spaces around the pumpkin.
fifth and sixth Stem
To add a deeper color of orange to the arrangement I used a berry spray and a flower bundle. I snipped them off and placed them around the pumpkin as well.
Smaller Pumpkins
I added a few more faux pumpkins to the basket.
To soften the look, I added and black and white runner.
Last Stem
Dollar Tree wheat stems, I used the stem up in the hanging basket so to tie the two arrangements together I added it to the bench basket as well.
Filling in any gaps with the wheat stems.
That’s it! I like how the black and white plaid plays along with the orange pumpkins and the Fall foliage.
Make sure to check out Tammy’s space she is decorating in her kitchen.
I hope I inspired you with something I shared today, thanks for stopping by!
