GUEST BATHROOM WITH FALL UPDATES

Hey there!  Welcome into our guest bathroom for another decorating for fall.  To watch the video of decorating our guest bathroom, YOUTUBE CHANNEL or FACEBOOK PAGE.

I hope you enjoy today’s blog post and grab some inspiration along the way.  Let’s get decorating!

I am going to start with the vanity.  Keeping it simple and functional for my guest but still make it pretty as well.

I am leaving the black vanity tray to the top of the vanity.  It both protects my countertop for soap stains, and it is pleasing to the eye.

I could get a themed soap dispenser but this is a pretty brown glass dispenser that elevates the space, and I can easily put a seasonal scent into the bottle.  It looks a little better than the disposable hand soap dispensers we tend to buy.  I am also keeping the Q-Tip container in the same place.  Keeping the Q-tips on the vanity is a thoughtful gesture for your overnight guests.

To the other side of the vanity, I like to keep paper hand towels, using paper hand towels is another thoughtful gesture for your guest.  It gives them a germ-free option within a shared space.  I placed the towels in a rattan tray.  I purchased the tray on Amazon.

Another small change is this light up small pumpkin.  Since it lights up it provides a warm glow without an open flame from a candle.

The last change to the vanity would be changing out the stems in the black textured terracotta vase from Hobby Lobby.  I added two leaf stems I painted last year to a deeper auburn color.  The stems add a little touch of nature, even though they are faux, to the space.

Moving over the bathtub, to keep the fall theme going, I changed out the greenery on my DIY bath tray to a fall leaf arrangement.  This is just a leaf bundle I placed in a black vase.

I also added a fall color hand towel to the bar.

Next, it’s time to tackle the shelves.  I really like how the shelves are styled but they still need touches of fall on them.

To the bottom shelf, I changed out the greenery in the slender jar with some fall stems.  And removed the loofah with a couple small pumpkins.

For the top shelf I really wanted to incorporate the fall theme here, I am using a floral I purchased a while back particularly for fall here in the bathroom.  It is a dark autumn floral pattern with a vintage flare, but it gives a moody botanical vibe to the space.  I purchased it off of Etsy, the name of the print is called Vintage Fall Floral Print.  Again, had Walgreens print it out and I gave it a layer of matt mod podge and placed it in a frame I already had.

To pair with the print, I took a gold heather arrangement I purchased years ago in Kirkland’s, I didn’t want to add any florals or leaves, it would compete with the print.  In front of the print, I added two pumpkins.  The leopard print pumpkin I found last year in a thrift store.  I think it looks great with the print.

The last space I changed was the wall with the frame and hanging towels.  I knew somewhere in our home I wanted to use my Pumpkins and Mixed Florals Framed Canvas Art Print from Kirkland’s last year and her it is.  It is the perfect size to replace the frame that was once up on the wall.  I also switched out the grey towels with my dark orange bath towels.

Alright so that is it for today’s decorate with me.  Thank you for hanging out with me while I share our fall guest bathroom.

All next week I will be decorating the family room, a lot of spaces to decorate in there alone.  I hope you come back and see how I style that room for fall.  Until then, have a great weekend!
