HOW OUR KITCHEN NOOK EVOLVED

Last week I started another One Room at a Time challenge, I thought I would share with you how our kitchen nook changed over my blogging years.

Let’s start out with the year I started blogging. 2017.

I removed the hutch off the cabinet and styled the cabinet alone.  The table is the same as when we purchased it in 1994.  The paint on the walls is Pure Earth by Behr.

Changed the look the later part of 2017.

Brought back the hutch with some modifications, painted the hutch, table and chairs with Dove White by Benjamin Moore.

This leads to the nook as it stands now.  The wall color is the only change made; the paint is Even Better Beige by Behr.

Plans are to paint furniture, change light fixture, new rug and create a new look with the window and door wall.  Which, I shared on my previous blog post from last Friday, you can see here KITCHEN NOOK REFRESH.

What I didn’t share is the sources of the new items I will be placing in the space.

RESOURCES:

  1.  Paint – Lowe’s – Valspar Cabinet & Furniture Oil-Enriched Enamel – color SW – Dovetail.
  2. Modern Black Chandelier, Metal 6-Light Fixtures by ONESMING Store.

  3. 2×5 Non Slip Machine Washable Vintage Hallway Runner Rug, Light Taupe Brown by GENIMO Store.

  4. Ivy Tassel Window Curtain Panel Pair, 84 x 40 in, Neutral by Lush Decor Store

So far that is all I have purchased for the room, I have been busy painting the furniture right now, but if I do, I will share it all here!

Friday will be an update on how I am coming along with the refresh, hope to see you back here to see what I have accomplished!
