It’s time for our Pinterest Inspiration Challenge hosted by Cindy, County Road 407. I will list all of the participant’s links at the bottom of my page. Our inspiration photo is from Jill, Create Craft Love. Jill did an amazing job decorating her door with a garden hose. It is so cute! Let’s take a look at the garden hose wreath that Jill created. What all did she use?
- garden hose
- gardening gloves
- flowers and a butterfly
- ribbon

Here is my version of the Garden Hose Wreath…..
I had to go into the shed and cut a piece of hose from an old hose. Honestly, this hose should have been thrown away, but so glad we didn’t. I brought it in the house and gave it a good scrubbing.
After the hose was cleaned it still looked faded and not very attractive looking. I decided to spray paint the hose to give it some life. Before I decided on the color of paint I wanted to check out the ribbon I had on hand to coordinate with the paint. Once I picked out my ribbon I grabbed the paint and gave it two coats of paint.
To paint the whole thing I hung it on my clothes line. Me and my concoctions, right? 🙂 I am using the color Blue Ocean. This is the same paint I used when I spray painted my glass plates on my Christmas tablescape.
Here are the items I pulled together to make my wreath.
- garden hose – I used a 12 foot piece of hose
- gardening gloves
- gardening scissors
- floral bundle
- water can decor piece
- floral wire
- ribbon
I wrapped the hose to the size of an 18 inch wreath. I used floral wire to hold the hose together.
Taking my little watering can I used on our back patio I removed all the greenery from it. I grabbed a floral bundle I had in a basket in the Master bedroom, I added back the greenery.
To secure the little watering can to the hose was pretty tricky. I added floral wire to the handle and tacked a small nail at the bottom and wrapped the wire to the hose and around the nail. Worked great!
I took the gloves and scissors wrapping floral wire around them as well and connecting them on the garden hose.
I made a regular bow and added it on top of the gloves and scissors. I added a little hot glue to the ribbon’s tails to the hose to cover up the floral wires.
And that’s it! I placed it on our front door to welcome Spring. I think the colors looks so pretty against our door.
I hope you enjoyed this fun Pinterest Challenge Garden Hose Wreath.
