HOW TO CLEAN BRASS CANDLESTICKS

Hello everyone!

I hit the jackpot the other day at the thrift store.  I was there at the right time.  I scored 6 brass candle sticks for $1.00 each.  How about that? 🙂

Now to clean them up.  I looked up home remedies for cleaning brass.  Tomatoes!  I thought really?  Can this really work?  I grabbed a can of tomato sauce and added some water.

I let the candle sticks soak for about 15 mins or so.  The larger ones I decided to pour the tomato juice in a pitcher so the candle stick would be completely in the tomato sauce mixture.

Took the candle stick out of the juice, rinsed them off and wiped them with a paper towel.

The below photo is not touched up or edited.  It is exactly how it turned out!  Unbelievable!  Take a look at the before and after.

Some took a little more soaking, but they all turned out shining.

Thank you for stopping by!  I hope I inspired you in going into a thrift store, even if you normally don’t like to.  You need to just stop in and check it out.  You might be surprised at what you find.
