THRIFT STORE CANDLE STICKS MAKEOVER

Hey y’all!  Finally getting time to go through my thrift store items when I was visiting with my mamma on Memorial Day weekend.  See the set of candle sticks poking out of the basket?  I will be working on those today.

I found these babies for $4.99.  They are metal and in really great shape.  Didn’t know at the time what I will be using them for, but knew I just HAD to have them. 🙂 You know things you think you just have to have and then get home and say WHY?   I know what I am going to do with them now.

Let’s get started!

  • First I cleaned up the candle sticks
  • Painted the candle sticks with white chalk paint

  • Gave them 2 coats of chalk paint
  • Took a 150 grit sand block and distressed them both

  • Used finishing wax and applied it on the candle sticks

That’s it!  What do you think of my $4.99 candle sticks?

I am staging them here for you today, but I’ll be sharing how I’ll showcase them next Friday when I share with you the revealing of the room area challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you will come back tomorrow when I share my Father’s Day tablescape!

Stay strong and stay blessed!
