I went a little stem crazy on my mantel this Fall season, but boy did it turn out pretty. Very happy with the look.
Before I get into the blog post today I wanted to welcome all my new followers and my new guest coming over from Tammy Patina and Paint and Corine Junk to Gems blog post. This Fall season we are bringing you into our homes to share our Fall decorations. It is fun to watch other people decorate their homes, not only for inspiration but just to see them decorate. 🙂 At the bottom of my page I will share Tammy and Corine’s blog link to their Fall Mantels.
All week we have been sharing bits and pieces of our Family/Living room. We have shared our Kitchen, Foyer/Entryway and as of today we finished decorating our Family?Living room. The last day brings our anchor piece of our room, the mantel.

FALL MANTEL AND HEARTH – VIDEO AND POST
The inspiration for the Family room was the canvas I purchased on Amazon. Not only do I love the colors in the canvas but the scenery is perfect for the Fall season!
With the color palette set I went off to plan my mantel’s decorations. I first started selecting which stems and garlands to use.
Most of the stems I already had from Fall seasons in the past, I did purchase the garland and a few new stems.
Next was getting the colorful pumpkins. I had all the right colors in my stash, so I didn’t have to paint any in my mantel vignette. 🙂
Using the mercury glass candleholder works perfectly with the birch trees in the canvas. The candles I painted myself to look like birch log candles. I took a white candle, brown and black craft paint to create the look. Pretty snazzy, don’t you think?
My mantel this year is so different than I have ever designed for Fall….and I love it. ♥
To the hearth I added a basket filled with stemmed grasses, garland and one pumpkin to tie in the décor on the mantel.
I am calling my mantel and hearth DONE! I am so happy with the look of the both of them.

So pretty Terrie. Love the addition of the mustard tones.
Your candle ia so pretty. Very clever, I wouldn’t think to do it myself.
Thank you Cindy. Love the yellows too!
Okay your mantel is beautiful, love the basket and birch log they really added texture to it all.
Thank you so much Corine. I am happy with how it all turned out.
If you went stem crazy so did I! I love all of the warm beautiful colors that you’ve used and that print above the mantel is absolutely gorgeous. I can see that sitting back on a color fall evening with a fire going would be so cozy. Thanks so much for sharing.
Ha! Tammy I have to say we are two birds from the same momma bird. ha! We do seem to do a lot of things a like. Thank you so much for your king words.
