Are you wanting to give your dining room a makeover or maybe you like your dining room the way it is but want to change a few things.  In today’s blog, I am sharing my plans for giving our dining room a refresh to keep an easy flow from room to room.

 

For those that think I must get bored easily, I actually like to keep our home feeling decor fresh.  In fact, since I finally found my home style – a warm transitional style, I might just keep things the same. After each room refresh I love how each completed room looks and feels!

That being said, the room I planned on refreshing next was our guest bathroom.  However, since I refreshed the foyer the dining room needs to be warmed up with color as well.

In the dining room the first thing I would like to change is the fabric on the chairs.  It will be a large job for myself, but I am up for the job.

Changing it to a neutral color will help the table blend better with the overall style of the room.  I am keeping the table and chair frames the same.

The next project will be painting the china cabinet with Cracked Pepper by Behr.  The same color as the entryway table in the foyer.

I haven’t decided if I will be painting the walls.  I will decide later during the refresh.

The next change will be the drapes.  I want to replace the yellow drapes.

Last big change, I will be changing out is the rug.

As you can see, it doesn’t give the room a warm feeling.  Changing out the rug with deeper colors tones will give the room a cozy feeling.

These are the things I want to refresh in our room.

First big job are those chairs.  I will be sharing the HOW TO soon.
